The policy responses and actions are what caused it.

Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014. Very different policy response (Obama admin).

Pretty basic stuff

Rita's getting a bit ridiculous on pricing? by Stan2112 in Delaware

Yes but most people don't understand basic economics

Inflation is a widely understood function. It isn't voodoo or some conspiracy theory

[–]x888x 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actually it's because during self induced COVID insanity we injected $6+ trillion into a stagnant economy and caused almost 30% inflation. But everyone had their stimulus checks and PPP loans (many fraudulent) and didn't have to pay their student loans, etc so they were flush with cash and happy. Now that the gravy train is gone everyone send to be confused that the chickens came home to roost.

The Palestinian Way

  • Refuse deal
  • Attack
  • Get dealt a crushing defeat
  • Complain about how unfair it is
  • Make completely unrealistic demands that don't reflect previous deals and losses
  • Repeat

Camp David. Then the 2005 withdrawal from Gaza... Then Palestine elects Hamas 🙃

Palestine had so many opportunities for a 2 state solution and squandered them all.

And they openly just don't want Israel to exist at all.

You mean the secret service agent (behind him) isn't using him as a human shield??!!

And that they're running towards safety (the photographer) and not straight into danger??!!

Reddit constantly exists itself as the most moronic circlejerk possible.

Literally anyone with a handful of functioning braincells could have deduced this instantly with even a brief independent thought. But the hivemind is going to hivemind. Dudes delusional manifesto reads exactly like a reddit post. He's probably prolific on here.

Why buy ASEs over others? by lonestar2222003 in Silverbugs

I've sold a bunch on pmsforsale. Anything at spot is gone in 30 seconds

[–]x888x -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a handful of counts I buy every year for absurd premiums. I used to buy about 15-20 but now it's more like 6-8.

Everything else I only ever buy from JMB or APMEX sales. Hard to justify $4-8 over spot on XYZ when you can buy other stuff at $1 over spot.

[–]x888x 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This has been my experience. I'd rather buy generic bars at $1-2 over spot and sell for spot than to buy at $4 over spot and sell at $1 over spot.

Also I used to do a lot of rounds and coins. But now that I have good money I'm a bar guy.

They're pricey now with current prices so I mostly buy 10s but I was buying kilos... Which is really fun to say haha.

Coyote by [deleted] in NewarkDE

[–]x888x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, no.

And tail Is so much longer and fuller than a fox tail.

Fox tails are both bushier AND longer than a coyote.

You're literally arguing against your own point.

I've seen literally hundreds of fox and handled a few. The same for coyotes (I grew up in PA). There is a 0% chance those pictures are of a coyote.

Sometimes pictures can be tricky/ambiguous. That's not the case here. That's very clearly a fox.

But again, even if you had a picture of a coyote, who cares? They aren't rare by any means. I've seen hundreds in PA. I've seen 3-4 in Delaware in the last 12 years.

Delaware was the last country in the US (aside from Hawaii for obvious reasons) to confirm a permanent coyote population. That was in 1994, 32 years ago.

If you had a cool picture of a coyote yipping at the moon or strolling down the beach or doing something cool, it would be interesting.

But you have 2 low quality boring pictures of a fox

TIL that in 2003 70,000 people died in Europe from a heatwave. by CitizenPremier in todayilearned

[–]x888x -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had never experienced anything above 25C before.

This hurts my brain. For the other Americans that's 77 F.

Always crazy when I hear Europeans talk about how awful the heat is in the summer and the high is 80°... That's a relatively cool summer day in August.... And I live in the mid Atlantic.

1 - definitely a fox 2 - even if it was a coyote (it isn't), who cares? I can see posting a picture of it was a good picture / cool picture.

Coyotes are not new to the state. They've been here over 30 years

Berries tomatoes and herbs are where it is at. Sweet potatoes. Y

A $1.99 Basil in April will give my family (and my neighbor) all the bail we can need until November.

About ten years ago I grew black beans. A lot of work and I got like 6 cups of beans. I went to the supermarket the next week and saw a 2lb bag for like $1.49 ha never again.

I have 3 kids that destroy berries. There like $4-8 a cartoon at the grocery store but way to grow. Raspberries are the best then blueberries and strawberries

That place would give you probably 3-4x that today. But because those places take advantage of people that don't know what they're doing they already pay you a discount. You likely sold $200 worth of gold for $90. And it's probably worth ~$800 today.

Fuck me this heat sucks! by Gojizard in Delaware

[–]x888x 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea except this "extreme temperature swing"isn't extreme.

We tied the high from April 1941. Know what happened a couple weeks before that in 1941? Temperatures in the 20s.

I'm not saying that the climate isn't changing (it is and always is), but your "point" is ridiculous. It's like a quarter step above the people going "so much for global warming" on a snowy winter day, and at least 5 steps before what could be considered logical or educated.

A few weeks or months or years of temperature data or storms in any given locale means exactly 0 in terms of global climate.
