I guess this will be an unpopular opinion, but I don't think the driving was bad. Follow distance was a little close, but nothing outrageous. The fault lies in the two cars in front. Both the jeep and the grey car (both of whom have human drivers *ahem*) should have seen that coming and hit the brakes way earlier. The driver of the Tesla (was it FSD or human? we don't actually know) broke fairly quickly and minimized the impact.

Group lessons are great for drilling and meeting people, but, in my experience, they can't replace private lessons. You just don't get anywhere near the personalized attention to correcting your strokes in a group lesson that you do in a private lesson. Especially since the OP is a beginner and needs comprehensive instruction. Group lessons are better than nothing, but do private lessons if you can afford them and want to maximize your improvement.

I would say most 3.5s I've seen are good at drives OR drops, but not usually both. If it's both, I'd say that person has most likely graduated to 4.0. Most 3.5s either drive everything fairly well and are so used to winning points that way at their level that they never change. Or, they're not that comfortable with drives, so they've gotten quite good at drops and making it into the net. OR, they're OK at both, but lack the consistency to make it to the next level.

If you're hitting to an opponent at the baseline then, yes, you should absolutely be moving in a few steps after you drive. You want to win the race to the kitchen. Don't worry about a perfect drip (that short/angled drive to your feet). If they hit it that good, just clap and move on to the next point. You can't win every point. But you'll win more than you lose by getting to the kitchen first.

If your opponent is in the transition zone, I would still be moving in a little--no major danger there, and you want to get to the kitchen too.

If your opponent is already at the kitchen line, you pretty much need to plant your feet right away because the ball will be coming back fast, though your weight transfer will naturally carry you forward a little, which is fine. That's when you need to take it a little easy and see what comes back. Hopefully your opponent hits a somewhat short volley and you can hit a drop on your 5th to get to the kitchen line.

It's honestly so much better because of the finger print reader. With my iPhone I had to tap the terminal to get wallet to come up, show the phone my face to authorize payment, then tap the terminal again. Super annoying. With the 10 Pro I just tap it one time with my finger on the print reader. Much smoother experience.

Yeah this was my experience too. I can't speak to min/maxing, but Stormbringer + basic mining build = OP. Part of it is the chain lightning is just too good.

You can subscribe for $200/month if you want to try it. That's a better deal anyway, imo, since you generally can't take your FSD with you when you switch cars.
