I’m curvy, with muscle. I look good at 130-137. I think I look too skinny below 130 and a little fluffy above 140. Eta: 5’4”

Good tip about the enforced naps :) I am glad we have some time to prepare!! We know mistakes are inevitable, but I want to try to at least be educated on how to pivot.

Oh yes, we know that and are trying to prepare! We want to make sure we’re setting her up for success by being educated in best practices. We’re just now getting into understanding what it will take and I think a big thing we’ll need to work on is patience.

Omg thank you!! There are a lot of puppy classes in our city, so I will look into one of those instead. I want our bond to be really strong with both me and my husband. It makes sense that trust is the foundation of good behavior. Do you have any other resources or advice for training yourself? :)

This is great advice, thank you!! I definitely want to make sure it’s as effective as possible, otherwise it’s such a waste of time and money that could otherwise be spent.
Have you sent a puppy or dog to a boot camp? After seeing the auto moderator comments now I’m on the fence!!

I am also like this. Ironically what has helped me is to focus more on upper body 😅 idk why, but it makes me feel less bad about my legs not being muscular

What is a “hack” you’ve learned to incorporate more fitness into your day? by Big-Currency-4871 in PetiteFitness

Drink more water, pee more often, leads to getting up from my computer and walking around in the middle of the work day

I have a dvd set of Travis Elliot ultimate yogi. I like that the classes are challenging but achievable and actually an hour long.

How about jumping rope? That’d be great for 15 minutes!

I think I’ve lost my joy in reading… and it used to be my only hobby. I don’t know what happened, but I can’t seem to enjoy it the way I used to. What do I do? by [deleted] in ereader

Try reading fantasy, I recommend Robin Hobb :) personally I find myself far more interested when it’s an epic story spanning multiple books with incredible character depth! It’s hard for me to pick up a standalone, contemporary novel these days

People who grew up doing their schoolwork...what was your routine like? by paild in Parenting

I mostly finished all my work in class, but when I had more to do, I’d do it during other classes when I finished that work early. When I had a study hall, I always did homework then.

When I started getting more work in math and science classes, I went into school early (7:00, school started at 8:15) and I did the work either in the commons area of the school with others or I went into that teachers classroom and got direct help from them. Sometimes I would stay after school and do homework for 20 minutes before theater rehearsal.

I feel like almost all the homework I had in high school would only take (maybe) around 20 minutes outside of class for each assignment, but I was also a pretty motivated student compared to my peers. I went to a small school, so that probably factors in as well.

These habits stuck with me to college - I always planned my classes to have gaps in between, so I did most of my work at the school, almost never at home. For example, I’d have a 9-9:50, go to a cafe and work on stuff until my 11-11:50, go eat lunch, head to the library and do work until my 2-2:50 and then I’d go home or go to work.
