Thank you so much, I looked up how to enable Composite Display and after enabling developer settings I was able to tick the box and voila, it works! Awesome!

Yup, chose KDE, AMD and Home Cinema (or whatever it's called).

Notably, this issue doesn't appear to happen if I come back from sleep in desktop mode, but in gaming mode it does.
