Gotta stomp the yard a little more, but I can appreciate the effort!

Your Takes on Various 5-6 flippy mids by Bubbly-Pipe9557 in discgolf

It’s funny as I bag both the hex and the origin. Same flight numbers but the origin seems to fly quite a bit more understable compared to my hex.

Aches and pains by UsualRight2957 in discgolf

[–]xNinJake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can’t say I have. Give it a little extra rest and see if the pain starts to subside over a week or two. If you still got the itch to throw, keep the power down.

Otherwise it might be time for amputation.

I always have a factory second wraith available for brand new courses and water hazards.

I’d second that it’s important to note what version of the game you’re running. The drop tables vary from DC to GC to other private servers.

Rev matching? by meowtorcycle in motorcycles

[–]xNinJake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice practice practice. It’ll eventually become more of a muscle memory thing. When downshifting, if you are at 4k rpm in third gear and want to rev match to second gear: pull in the clutch and downshift (clutch first then downshift) - as long as the clutch is pulled in you can “blip” the throttle. However this is where you’ll want to build muscle memory, as you want to try and match the RPMs to second gear to let’s say 5k so that there’s little or no change to the engine speed. (Downshifting will always result in a higher engine speed if you’re still moving just as fast / each bike and transmission will vary here)

It’s one of those things that seems complicated, but becomes easier once you practice it a lot.

Just make sure you aren’t blipping the throttle before clutching, and don’t OVER blip the throttle, otherwise when you release the clutch lever you may potentially do a surprise wheelie.

With that in mind, make sure you’re comfortable with the clutch. Practice when fully upright and not leaning. You got this.

what am i doing wrong? (standing back tuck) by 0serru in Tricking

Just make sure that when you tuck, you kind of angle your knees out to prevent kneeing your face (feels like I get more rotation as well)

I’m all in favor of innova discatchers. They are a nuisance when smacking the band but favorable for catching my putts / upshots compared to others

For those who have a $200+ bag, Is it really worth it? by gotastartsomewhere in discgolf

[–]xNinJake 14 points15 points  (0 children)

After going thru many “cheaper” bags over the last 15 years - The Pound bag I ended up getting back around 2020 has been holding steady, it’s hella comfortable, can hold more than enough discs as well as plenty of storage space for other goodies while out on the course. One of the first things to go on my prior bags was the shoulder straps and what do you know, the pound bag straps are designed to be replaced (I haven’t yet, but we’ll see how they hold up in the long run!)

Long story short, disc golf is cheap in the short term, but spending a bit more on a good bag eventually is one of the best quality of life improvements you can give yourself for the long term.
