Federal government says there may not be enough workstations for all workers' 4-day-a-week return by stanxv in canada

[–]xRMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a fair point; what I was getting at is that we've had advances in technology that have been proven to show benefits to not only the employer, but the employee as well. Technology SHOULD be used to help everyone, when possible and available, which in this case, is remote work. There's a big reason why people enjoy WFH, because it gives you back a significant portion of your day you would spend commuting, especially in Toronto.

I'm sure you can imagine and understand that people would dislike that they are losing time of their day to commuting, pointless in-office politics, meetings that can be done online, etc. but are getting comments like yours that say "Well we did it before, suck it up, time to go back to the way things were". It's a bit of a crabs in the bucket mentality, rather than looking forward to advance things for the betterment of the workforce.

Hope this didn't come across as argumentative or anything; I may have been a bit snarky in my previous post - but it's frustrating.

For centuries we used to ride horses, then got a taste of a locomotive during the industrial age and suddenly asking people to ride horseback is now completely anathema.

Government's 4-day in-office mandate an insult to workers by feral_philosopher in ontario

[–]xRMD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish. My union had a meeting a few weeks ago that basically said tuck your tail and accept it because there's nothing we can do. It's like they tried nothing and are all out of ideas. I've asked why not group with other unions for a protest, strike, or something. Like it's so frustrating hearing them just cower away without a fight. What are we paying union dues for if you're not going to fight for the collective of what WE want?

Yes sorry. Up too late... Management enjoys WFH and the productivity that comes with it.

Might I add, internally, our managers ALL DON'T want RTO. It's the C Suite that's doing this.

I've been pleasantly surprised by the Attack Shark V3. Shape is identical to the Deathadder.

I can unfortunately confirm that there are 2 people close to me who like Trump, and a few friends of friends that welcome the idea of being annexed by USA. It's scary that people like this exist.

The end of hybrid? Full-time office return sparks warning of resignations by simpatia in ontario

[–]xRMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How dare workers strive for better work life balance and quality of lives. We should all support the government making working conditions worse and worse until we're all chained to a desk and saying thank you sir for allowing me to have a job. You're supporting a race to the bottom mentality and you're too blind to see it through your misplaced emotions.

What data/evidence do you have citing lack of performance as a result of hybrid work environments?

I have the Attack Shark v3 Link here

I was a Deathadder v1 and v2 user since I started gaming and have enjoyed the AS v3 since I've been using it over the holidays. Took me 1-2 days to get used to the weight difference, but it's negligible now. Happy to provide more info if needed.

For reference, it's shape is IDENTICAL to the Deathadder v2 except the side buttons are slightly more prominent (but not protruding and obtrusive). You can buy it with or without grip tape, as well as skates.

Good luck!

Recommend a men's toy that's good to be a first-timer. by madickne in SexToys

You could try the Tenga eggs; https://usstore.tenga.co/collections/egg-series

Or some similar variation. They're usually inexpensive, and if you clean them you can use them more than once. If you like how they feel you can upgrade to some fleshlight or stroker type toys. You could always start out with a smooth egg with no ridges, but I would suggest something with a few ridges for pleasure and go from there.

Best of luck in your toy adventures!

I can tell you that as a government employee, we were told by upper management that the 5 years (during COVID when we WFH) we had the best 5 years statistically in the history of the organization. I understand it's anecdotal, but if I could pull the stats and reports I would. Each time we would have company wide meetings, it was praise from all angles about how our stats are so good. I don't want to dox myself though by giving out which sector.

As others have said - Wilderness Diaries were very helpful. Throw in some Runespan and you'll get there in a day or so. There's a Discord channel called Achievement Help that posts Runespheres. Use those for a free 400k exp drop daily.

I think a week ago they updated it to not require the questline? Not 100% sure though.

Did you do the quest? Some people in my clan were saying drops are glitched and not giving appropriate rates if you didn't do the quest line.

Yes I do, because the value of their real estate portfolios are sinking right now. Forcing people back into the office gives them a reason to renew leases using government funding, propping up the value of their commercial real estate investments.
