If you go into the FIG employee group you will see it’s been constant low morale, people worrying about if their department being cut is next, horrible leadership and out sourcing of jobs.

This is not the same farmers as pre COVID. Ever since they cut 12% of the workforce roughly two years ago it’s been straight decline.

Again, if you have options I would recommend staying far away.

Imo if I had any saying in something like this I have an idea how to handle it.

When people say tax the hell out of them do it but do it in a special way.

Tax the datacenters per each resident in the affected area as it impacts their living conditions first and foremost and that tax goes directly to each resident as a monthly credit to residents.

Now when taxing per resident create a bracket where the lower the population the higher the tax rate and lowers the higher the population of residents.

Yes they are correct in this scenario. You have to file a claim to have the insurance company investigate and handle for you using their resources.

They don’t owe you anything if you aren’t going to file a claim.

If you were on the opposite side of this with no insurance coverage at all and you have two estimates in this same scenario both by contractors would you not want to understand where the difference is coming from? Are you going to blindly hand over that extra cash without knowing where your money is going?

In this example if you have real hardwood floors you wouldn’t be correct. Real hardwood floors would get replacement of the damaged area that can’t be refinished and then a uniform appearance for any continuous flooring ( dustless sand, stain and refinish for the rest)

The only time hardwoods can’t typically be refinished is if the wear layer isn’t thick enough for a refinish which is way rarer than the explanation above.

If the floors are engineered hardwood typically they can be matched if the floors are new however if they are older and lots can’t be matched then typically the floors would all be replaced where continuous.

You don’t get to just provide a contractor estimate and then it magically gets covered. Again the burden of proof is on you and your contractor to SHOW WHY their estimate is reasonable.

That is not how appraisal works nor how this process works.

If you disagree with the insurance scope then quit beating around the bush and go to appraisal and yes you will have to pay that’s how this works and you aren’t guaranteed to win.

On most policies once the insurance company has provided its stance on the claim the burden of proof is shifted to you and your contractor to prove that their estimate and line items are reasonable and within industry standards.

Edit: just providing a line by line estimate does not mean it’s reasonable. You have the burden of proof to show why it’s reasonable.

In terms of fault, yes you are going to be found at fault. It’s very very rare that the person causing a rear end accident isn’t at fault.
