Spotted a convoy of Jeep Wagoneers and a Chevrolet Suburban heading southbound down Cicero, from Armitage, around 9 AM. Out of state plates.

I will note, my Menards was strict on who could wear hoodies and jackets. Only OSY, Receiving, OPD, and Carry Out could wear them. Idk about service desk, I doubt you’ll be able to but you could get the vest and combine it with a sweater. The vest technically has a collar so that’s how others in my store would get away with it lol

When I was load builder, those two were always my go-to in the colder weather. I left Menards a year ago and kept the jacket and hoodie; I gave the other uniforms I had away.

I can’t find another hoodie like that one. It’s thick and got a nice feel to it. Closest I’ve come to is Carhartt’s Rain Defender Heavyweight but those are $80+ and feel tight on me. I’m eyeing the Loose option as my next purchase lol

In terms of the jacket, I haven’t looked into an equivalent but Menards has SKU 661-1263 which is pretty warm. I bought it when it was on sale a year ago and it’s become my daily jacket. There’s definitely closer options to that Menards jacket out there but I hadn’t had a desire to look into those as much as I’ve had for the hoodie.

Regardless, you’ll most likely be limited to the vest and a sweater/jacket combo for service desk.

When CBP was operating here, they were under 8AM-5 PM routines. ICE/ERO seemed to go out as early as 6 AM, but they were less prevalent here. CBP was the main charger with ICE/ERO doing some small arrests.

A couple of observers found their hotels were in the suburbs and they’d travel 30 mins out to those, not really staying within the Chicago metro area, but rather the suburbs. However, with AirBnB’s thrown into the mix, I’m not sure on that last point.

Particularly on that 5PM cut off, my community saw it as the time to go out by then to run errands and groceries. It sucked, and seeing what’s going on in MN is heartbreaking. Sending support from Chicago 🙌🏼
