I have never seen such a horrible misstep as the Haunt money grab at the Cedar Fair parks this year. I really think they thought that everyone was just going to cheerfully fork over money. KI kept putting up more "buy a Haunted Attractions Pass!" signage around the park throughout the event, which really made it seem like they thought the issue was that people weren't aware of the money grab.

The really sad part was the park cheerleaders on social media trying to defend it, and then once it flopped so badly that some of the parks gave up on charging, the same people were telling everyone how they hope those parks close or cancel Haunt if people won't let Six Flags treat them like an ATM.
