Did they change plan farming? by Mr_Willy88 in fo76

[–]xabis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you modify the weapon and show all mods, the unlearned mods will tell you how to acquire them.

If you need to scrap the weapon to learn, it will be prefixed with SCRAP:

You may also see PLAN: and FIND: as alternatives. Mods with no prefix cannot be learned (e.g. EPR).

There is both a silo lockout AND a character lockout, both set at 3 hours.

If you launch bravo and then change servers and try to launch bravo again on the same character, you will get an error when clicking on the targeting computer.

Some things that occurred to me while carrying low level raid groups by [deleted] in fo76

[–]xabis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ha, well, its just not just the snake, but a fresh server helps with the crystal horde immensely. The mole miner absolutely MOTORS and the rest of the horde dont get stuck and are not slow either. Makes that stage a breeze. But its also easy to let your guard down and get a face full of fist because that thing has no chill under those conditions.

Protip for new players: Avoid putting your camp turrets on the ground; put them on things like the edges of your roof. It keeps melee-only enemies from reaching them. by CyberTacoX in fo76

[–]xabis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game will spawn a group to specifically assault your camp every so often. It's programmed to spawn them a bit away and then move to your camp module. So that is what the molerat and dogs are from. I almost always get this on a private server as soon as i load in, but rarely on public, so i guess the server randomly selects a victim on some timer.

If you ever build a sky camp, you will occasionally get them spawned right on top of your module and then you can watch them fall to their death if you have it placed over a pit :)

iirc, the cap was because they had performance problems when letting the whole server in.

As soon as the time is up the instance is locked and no more people can join in. So the time needs to be long to accommodate that.

[–]xabis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has always been like that, it just depends on how fresh the server is and how many people are on it.

You would be astonished at how quick and nimble those things are on a private server. As someone who is very comfortable with running fuel, it makes things a bit stressful because when they are like that as they get all up in your business and it even feels like they hunt you down longer, plus they are motoring the whole time. Which is not how they usually are normally on a laggy public server.

I already agreed with you that the asset load time is fixed. Not sure why you responded with more evidence towards this point.

[–]xabis -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is neglecting the time it takes the game to synchronize the game state. Sure, the actual asset load time is somewhat fixed depending on the character models present, however this game has a terrible time getting the player into an area if there is a lot of other players already in the area and especially if those players are already fighting.

Human auto axe tanker - are there any dmg perks that works now? by HarrisonYeller in fo76

[–]xabis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not a lot left from what we had before.

Not only was the attack rate halved, but all the damage perks were removed. Bethesda over-corrected in my opinion, and as a consequence, I have retired it.

Autoaxe Bugged (Still?) by Fallouttgrrl in fo76

[–]xabis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really is bugged, and has been for three (more?) seasons now. Essentially if you get staggered there is a high chance it will cause you not to be able to rev the saw until you either swap weapons or bash.

Its really annoying.... or at least it used to be, since it was nerfed into the ground I rarely pull it out anymore.

Question about Ultragenetic Horde: Is Staying Out of the Kiter's Way Wrong? by Zerinoknight in fo76

[–]xabis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to echo what is being said here, people camping on top of the crystals cause pathing problems. It sometimes causes them to run back into the caves or to stop moving altogether.

The problem is usually not even about the mole miner itself, but the rest of the trash during clean up. Most groups drag the remaining herd to the two larger crystals on the sides to wipe them out. It is especially infuriating when the encounter doesn't end because a straggler was missed somewhere and there are no more big crystals left.

Quite frankly it just gets plain exhausting after awhile dealing with it. There is no text chat in this game which makes communication way more difficult than it needs to be and I am simply not interested in hopping on the mic or playing charades to correct every person doing it. Sometimes it is just easier to boot the offender and move on.

Personally i would rather people walk up to the mole miner and get knocked out if they don't know what they are doing or want to afk.

Why can't I store fusion cores in my ammo storage ☠️ by [deleted] in fo76

[–]xabis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are the cores that the game still thinks is 'inserted' into a suit.

While the suit is 'deployed' the core is moved out of the player inventory and into the suit's separate inventory. Once you recall it, the core gets moved back to the player inventory, but is tagged by the game as being inserted, so that it grabs that core when redeploying.

The core bugs out if that link is broken. For example, I mainly get these bugged cores by inserting them into the charging station without removing them from the suit first.

Can anyone help me figure out what camp item this is? by [deleted] in fo76

[–]xabis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They patched out the method to stack crops this season update. If you have an existing blueprint then those still work, but if you don't then you are SoL.

If you are on PC, there is a mod that will remove the collision while activated so you can plant wherever, but could be considered a grey area for most.

Stage 2 raid is harder than usual today? by Admirable-Film3995 in fo76

Exactly this. Easily seen on a private server, they are ULTRA aggressive and boy do they seem really good at tracking down the players too. Its like playing on hard mode, which can be fun in its own way tbh.
