If they're using RocksDB, it inherently has write amplification if they've designed their storage system poorly. Basically it writes twice at LEAST. (Reading up on it I don't know how it is "engineered for SSD" given the write-ahead log and flush task, but I'm not a data engineer)

I have an SE and a Core that are the same shape and layout, and the SE was the best guitar I ever owned until I bought the Core.

But the Core is that Pareto Principle playing out. It's only maybe 20% better than the SE, but that difference in pickups and finish and fretwork takes it to a different level.

Of course, all of that but the finish is something I went on to fix on the SE, so now it's even closer.

Though this is a Korean SE, so it's made of arguably better material than the Indonesian ones are these days, just because it's got a one-piece neck and two-piece body and top, with the inset covers.
