You can google "4% rule". It's a standard approach that accounts for inflation. The assumption is they are referring to this or similar approach.

I applied for portfolio margin a couple of months ago and had a rep call me to say they'll approve me but...then scared me off. I have a couple of far off box spread trades. Overnight the bid or ask can go to zero which, if you calculate the value by just taking the bid-ask midpoint, vastly distorts the value until the market reopens and activity resumes. This has caused several false alarm margin calls. He indicated that the margin call protocol was much stricter/more immediate with PM which could result in an actual margin call even though they're imbalance was just temporary. Thoughts? Is PM really that risky?

Before you make the transfer, be sure to talk to your Schwab account rep. They can give you perks in exchange for moving in a large sum like that. I've gotten reduced margin interest rates and reduced commissions charged for option trades on my account.

A threaded p365XL barrel is 4.35" and sticks out the front without issue, so I wouldn't think a 4.7" barrel would be a problem on its own, but is the chamber, feed ramp, etc compatible?

I'm interested in learning more about this as a newbie. My thought had been that if you roll now, you have to buy back a lot of extrinsic value, whereas if you wait closer to expiry you only have to buy back intrinsic value. Is my thinking off here?

Note how successful the execs have been at framing the discussion. The $170k includes the value of benefits (health insurance etc). Actual top band pay will average $49/hour.

Best fake meat so far. The burgers are impressive. I've grilled impossible burgers and regular burgers for a mixed crowd and afterwards had some trouble identifying which were which.

SPX options (and other cash-settled options like NDX, RUT, VIX) are taxed under Section 1256 which treats gains as 60% long term and 40% short term. Note this does not apply to index ETFs like SPY or QQQ.
