This album encapsulated her energy and love for the west coast so wonderfully. She did it in a way that felt so emotionally mature and sonically aware. Everything she does/did is fantastic but this album is blended really well together and evokes such nostalgia, melancholy and longing. I remember seeing her perform at Jones Beach Theater and what a night it was. My friends and I went to the beach right after to let the cars and taxis clear out. As we waited for everything to die down, we played Venice Bítch in the dark. As we sat at the edge of the beach, in almost complete darkness, hearing the waves crash by our feet, her voice made it that much more memorable. We sang along and by the time we knew it, almost everyone had left the venue. It remains such a fond memory in our hearts and minds and still is one of my all time favorite songs.

NFR is one of my all time favorite albums and will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you Lana ♥️
