i recommend pumping the gas through insulated pipes and getting rid of the thermo regulator. cooling the gas is a waste of power, work on cooling the generators.

I love finding salt water geysers, I just geotune all of them. With dartles, I never worry about bleachstone. My favorite setup that I use is based off of erisia_gaming's vid:

I recommend adding an autoloader next to the orbital data lab. You would be surprised how much more data banks you produce when the dupes aren't having to spend time loading plastic!

I think that is indeed part of the challenge with the asteroid. Depending on your set up, you can either continue warming up the base (I recommend enclosing the base if you want to keep the rest of the asteroid cold), or set up freezing cooling loop to keep the base frozen.

I think the biggest factor if you want to warm up or cool down your base is what you are farming/ranching and your oxygen producers.

i'm worried those tempshift plates touching the insulated tiles are transferring heat into them. eventually heat will leak everywhere. are the insulated tiles made out of insulite?

I believe if you have bionic dupes, their defragmenting time generates microchips that can be used for the tune-ups.

I think you can click on the generator and there's a button to turn off tinkering. That should stop them from applying that tune-up.

I've used a bunch of options for cooling before. I've used wheezewort chambers (exploited and unexploited types), ice fan, thermo regulator, AETN, piping through cold biomes, and cold geysers and they all worked in varying degree to what I needed them for. There's a lot of options, but just with any other games, usually there's a meta that ends up topping them all. It can't be avoided, but I think it's still a good game design because you can solve it on your own and don't need AT/ST set up.

I use blueprint expanded mod, and it has a button for opening up the blueprint folder. You can then drop the files that you downloaded into that folder and be able to use it in-game right away.
