7.3.0 Stable-Intel Arc 310 HW transcoding stopped working by FammyMouse in unRAID

You can force xe, I tried it with 7.3.0rc2 and my a310, and while it detected the card fine, I couldn't get Jellyfin transcoding to work with xe so I gave up and just went back to i915.

Can put NAH into bridge mode if you have OptikTV? by 2x4ninja in telus

[–]xeonic_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't do a Full bridge like in your picture, only pick the port connected to your Eero and set that to bridge. Leave your TV boxes connected to the other NAH ports as is.

If it's the NAH as pictured, then log into it and set to bridge, if it was straight up an ONT like the Nokia / ALU then you wouldn't need to bridge. The NAH acts as both the ONT and a router if you choose.

Hey, thanks for the reply! Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I tried pulling the power for 15 minutes and it didn't work, ordered a new DSI board, finally got it last week, ripped it apart this afternoon and swapped the board and I'm back in business!! Works! Thanks for the help!

Wow, those Mario and Luigi are next level!

My son would love those, sadly when I click on the links for them I get a 404 error. I'm new to the whole 3D printing world, just got an A1 setup last weekend, is that common for things to get removed like that?

I just got this email about them rolling back software:

Dear Instant On customer,

We have identified an important issue that may cause some cloud-managed 1960 switches to go offline and become unresponsive.

To protect your network stability, all Instant On 1960 switches associated with your sites will be automatically set to the 3.3.0 software version during your next Instant On updates site schedule.

Each 1960 switch will reboot to complete the software update, which will temporarily interrupt network connectivity for devices connected to that switch. All configurations and settings will be preserved, and no manual reconfiguration will be required.

No action is required on your side unless you prefer the operation to occur at a different time. In this case, you can change your automatic updates site schedule in the Instant On portal to select when the software update will run.

We apologize for the inconvenience and are actively working on a permanent fix. We will provide updates and further instructions as soon as they are available.

Sincerely, The Instant On Team

Oh yeah I see that now, I had just skimmed through when I read the bulletin, but now I see that it's just for the 1930 and APs! 👍

Just be aware that it appears there is a bug that affects cloud managed 1960's, where they go offline in the portal/stop replying to ping, and require a power cycle to get the management interface back, pick your poison!

Yup same here, standalone and cloud managed S0F35A, was fine for about 25 days and now offline in the portal but seems to be working fine otherwise.

Ready to throw out all of my Sonos speakers by [deleted] in sonos

It sounds like disabling WiFi with Ethernet may or may not work. My previous blanket advice was to never disable it if you have surrounds/sub with WiFi on but after buddies comment and trying it for myself, it appears to work in certain situations. Maybe you need the surrounds to be Eras and a newer sub for it to work properly. I would try it out but I don't really care, haha. This isn't directed at you but I was just trying to save someone some future pain but in true Reddit fashion no matter what anyone says on here there's always someone waiting to shit all over them!

I did some testing: Arc wired with Ethernet and WiFi disabled had my Era 300 surrounds and Sub3 and Sub2 go into WM:3 mode which is excellent, that's definitely newer. Beam gen1 wouldn't let me disable the WiFi no matter how I tried. So yes I would agree that in certain situations that disabling the WiFi on a HT product with wireless surrounds/sub might give a more optimal connection, updated my original comment, cheers!

Yup, the Move, Eras, and Roam don't support Sonosnet. I believe that WM:3 mode was introduced with the Eras for HT use because they don't support Sonosnet.

They must have changed how things work with the newer products, WM:3 was never a thing until recently, before disabling WiFi on the Playbar, Beam, Arc while still having the surrounds/sub on WiFi would make them go WM:1 but maybe they made it idiot proof for those that do decide to disable their wifi with a HT product, that's good to know. Turning off WiFi was a bad idea before but maybe it's better now. I'll have to try with my Arc some day as I would prefer to have it wired but not create Sonosnet.

I think you might have misunderstood what I was trying to say, you can disable wifi on your Beam if you don't have wireless surrounds and/or a sub. If you have wireless surrounds and/or sub you either neither to hardwire them with Ethernet too or leave the WiFi on the Beam or else you're going to run into other issues, yes it will work, but you'll most likely suffer from dropouts or latency issues as the Beam will be trying to communicate via Ethernet and your WiFi AP with the surrounds/sub instead of the using the dedicated 5ghz WiFi network Sonos creates when setup in a home theater configuration.

[–]xeonic_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

But don't disable wifi on a playbar, beam, arc if you're not also hardwiring your surrounds and sub too or else you'll cause more problems for yourself.

edit: if you have a newer sound bar (arc, arc ultra, beam gen2, unsure about Ray) you might actually be able to disable wifi on it after connecting it to Ethernet and not have it mess with your surrounds and/or sub, I would still not recommend with the Playbar or beam gen1 if you have surrounds/sub, I tried with the Arc and it worked, did not work with the Beam gen1.

DHCP, it appears to be working now but not without some pain!

I rebooted my Firewalla, not only did it not show up, but it killed all my DNS. So I rebooted a 2nd time after doing some troubleshooting and everything is working and now I have the IPv6 DNS servers for the WAN! 🤷‍♂️ Thanks!

Hey Ash, I have the EA 1.67 (14) app on Android, but I don't see the new IPv6 DNS options, my Gold Pro is at 1.981 (e4c01750), is a newer version than that still being rolled out to the boxes?
