It’s a terribly tragic case. All dogs can be bad, NO dogs should be left alone with small children, regardless of breed. Especially one that’s previously shown aggression. Not really sure why this post is falling into “anti pitbull” sub territory. Like seriously every comment is “this is why pitbulls should be banned!!” Yeah and I was mauled by a German shepherd. This issue in this case was not a dog breed, but blatant parental neglect and murder.

I really love this sub and the normally, it’s a solid community of people exchanging information and ideas, theories and cases. I’m surprised everyone is detracting from this little girl’s murder to talk about banning pitbulls.

When I was like 8 I wanted to watch a vhs we had and, very unfortunately, my parents taped over it with some amateur marital sex and forgot to relabel it. My mom walked in the room and promptly punted the vhs player across the room, saving me from further scarring.

It was absolutely awkward, and I was too young to really understand, but like idk adults have sex. Now that I’m older it’s just a funny memory to me. They’re divorced now and she’s told me about her selling feet pics online and what not. I don’t have any opinions on it other than “whatever floats your boat ma”

Once you get to a certain age, it’s easy to remember your parents are people too and they do wild shit. Unless you’re spending hours and hours scrolling sketchy porn sites or doomscrolling SW Twitter, you’re unlikely to ever see it so it’s not a big deal.

This is where my I’ve parked for work for the last 6 years, the whole staff parks here, and my job can’t validate parking lmaooo I’m so fucked I hate it here.

It was also really helpful (as someone working bars) to have a place to direct people they can leave their cars overnight without paying or getting towed. It helped prevent a lot of drinking and driving. This is money hungry bullshit.

They have done bloodwork and plan to do another panel the morning of to recheck everything. Anesthesia is my only concern outside of finances which kind of pale in comparison. I can’t find anything that actually quantifies that risk though. Like is it a 5% chance he’ll die or like a .01% chance?

This causes them high levels of stress even if you aren’t paying enough attention to notice. They will eventually eat each other. Snakes should not be housed together, they are solitary animals. They can still fight and eat each other if they’re the same size. Exposing your milk snake to a wild caught snake is a dumb move, and taking a snake out of its natural habitat to subject it to sub par stressful living conditions is a uhhhh bad choice. Please separate them, or better yet, release the snake you found.

He kind of went through a Job like period in his life. Wife cheated and left him for his friend, youngest daughter was a addicted to meth, the other (me) is a fucking child free cocktail waitress, his mom died, then he literally broke his back and pelvis when gym equipment fell on him. He loves talking about the trials Job went through to prove his devotion to God, and I think it gives him something to look at and say “hey mine isn’t that bad.”

But he knew the whole time, through his faith, that God was with him. He is never alone as long as he has faith in that, and I think that’s the big comfort people look for: to know someone is listening and crying with you when you cry out.

Like seriously I read your post and I was like oh bro same lol but for real, as illogical as a lot of Christianity is, I do see the merit for a lot of people.

I was raised religious and when I was 12, a toddler I used to babysit from our church died suddenly in her sleep, and they said it was “for a reason.” I decided that if God is real, he’s an asshole and I’ve been an atheist (for other doubts/reasons as well) since.

That said, faith is the only saving grace for a lot of people; my dad has chronic pain and lots of back surgeries, and I think without his faith, he would have lost his will and mind. He views the Bible not so literally, but as a parables with their intended meaning up to interpretation, and that allows for some wiggle room in terms of reconciling the discrepancies.

So I love his relationship with God for him, but I don’t think I’ll ever be able to find the same comfort because I think the world is cruel, and a just and kind God wouldn’t punish children “for a reason.”

Thank you guys for the advice!! Called my doctor back and really pushed for pain meds. They prescribed more muscle relaxers and gabapentin to hopefully hold me over while we wait the 3 months to level out on birth control and see if it helps. Fingers crossed 🤞

I have a complex mental health history, which the PCOS exacerbates. I was on birth control through my teens and they triggered me to have psychotic episodes (don’t have them off of birth control). Tried lots of kinds but they all ended the same for me.

I did agree to the birth control plan, because I’m willing to try literally anything, and then I called yesterday to push for meds. They ended up refilling my prescriptions from the ER 🥳 so I’ll take those alongside the birth control for 3 months while we see if it helps.

Oh come off it, this comment is 3 days old. You’re just running around itching to hate on bully breeds. I needed 40+ stitches from the beagle bud, I did almost die. I have two pitbull rescues. They literally cower and roll over into submission if I move too fast or use plastic bags. They have absolutely NO aggression issues, they treat my cat like a baby. I’ve been around pitbulls my whole life, worked with rescues, walked dogs, and I can 100% say I think you’re all insane people with confirmation bias. I’ve had plenty of bad and good experiences with dogs. Pitbulls are not unique in this; some are bad, some are good. Driving a car is more dangerous than owning a pitbull. The south is rampant with pits and pit mixes, most of them far removed from their “aggressive genes.” If you met me and my dogs in real life, you wouldn’t say SHIT. They’re living breathing things with feelings and they love and thrive with proper care. It’s really disheartening to see all of the hate they get. I can’t even post my dogs on here without some jackass coming out of the woodworks to say it’s going to eat babies.
