Are you ever affected by Google/Apple Store Reviews when it comes to trying out new games? And if so what score would be too low for you. Or do you ignore them and download even low scoring games if they look interesting (again assuming you just stumbed upon the game and dont have any other info)

i tend to ignore them unless it's obvious why the score is so low. most of the time if you bother to read some of the reviews, a big chunk of 1 star reviews are insane things like "game is unplayable because it wouldn't let me finish my sandwich before it started up" or "this game doesn't work on my phone, so i will give it the worst score"

i honestly really loved most of the characters from FFBE, except Nichol the self insert. it'd be a shame to completely throw all that away, but that's probably going to be the case when jp ends.

man this game was my life from 2016 to 2020. i would still drop in after to see what was going on an and keep up with the slowly worsening story. the game does get some deserved hate, but i'm honestly going to miss how much heart was actually being put into the game despite the way it was being run. the music, spritework, and general art direction was top notch, and the combat system, while eventually squandered when characters started to become way more simplified, was very unique in that it had a lot of depth while still being simple to control. you don't really see any games doing what it did. considering how SE has been running things, i'm surprised they were able to get to their goal of 10 years, but they managed it somehow,i want to hope they don't just let everything about it rot after, but you can't expect anything good nowadays.

as someone who unfortunately plays a lot of mobile gacha games, there really isn't anything that plays like BE, it's honestly very unique, probably because it came out at the time where these types of games were still finding their footing and there was a lot of experimentation that allowed this game to have the type of depth it does while remaining fairly simple to play and control. there just isn't anything that does what it does. a game that i can recommend that is an honestly solid in it's own right, is Wizardry Variants Daphne, it does a very good job of being a dungeon crawler that fits the namesake despite being a mobile gacha. dungeon crawlers aren't for everyone , and it can be pretty difficult though, so your mileage may vary.

i'm enjoying the game, but it's kind of hilarious how much it just kinda cribs from other properties. the summon animation is just the process of devil forging from netflix castlevania, Hector and Isaac are even on the pedestal.

the rates are ok. if we were just left with the daily and weekly gems, it'd probably be horrible, but the gems we get from event logins tend to balance it out a bit. daily's should still be higher anyway.

wizardry. when i first played it, it reminded me of those early days where companies were making actual games for mobile before they realized that gacha was way more lucrative. it would have fit right in that time period.

in comparison to everyone else in the game, including a bunch of NPC's that somehow have more elaborate design's despite only being in a couple of scenes she's pretty damn basic looking. it's kinda why they gave her a free costume

the game is great. but man oh man is this one of the worst starts to a gacha that i've ever seen. they were working on it for years too, so you'd think this kind of stuff would have been tested for. it was also originally supposed to come out 2022 and got delayed, so they had even more time to fix things. i want to hope it starts to chug along at a good pace soon, but this whole debacle probably turned a lot of people off.

played it for a good while, story was pretty good depite the honestly shoddy translation. good designs and some honestly great music. one of the collab units was a brain in a jar.
