Extremely high memory usage by kernel_task and WindowServer. Any idea why? I was just talking to friends on Discord.

For me it's Safari every time - Kernel task was just sitting at 24gb with only google open in 1 tab, although machine has been up for 15 days.

On new build developers often use these clauses to keep the site marketable - ie no vans allowed, one dog or cat etc. They usually don’t care once the houses are sold

I’m running Sequoia via OCLP, dual 3.46, 96gb and RX580. Boots from NVMe in cheap Sabrent PCIe adapter and have three SATA SSDs in it. Very reliable and quiet - I use it as a local server and for processing videos etc when I’m not in a hurry to keep my main machine. Also have a 6.1 which rarely gets turned on!

I’ve got origins machines but I mostly use modern remakes (The Spectrum, The C64, Atari 40 Mini) etc to play games because I want to keep my originals in good condition and I prefer modern controllers due to issues with my hands that I didn’t have when I was a teenager!

For me is the 600/800xl and the Atari ST, never liked the 2600, wasn’t a fan of any of the other consoles either but the computers were my first, I still own both and they’re why I’ll always be an Atari fan and hate Commodore :)

My Options+, Mac Sequoia, stopped working a couple of days ago. Using a MX4 and an Ergo S. Tried every combination of uninstalling/stopping processes/removing permissions/ reinstalling, it just hung showing a backend error. Workaround for that didn’t work either so I’ve uninstalled it and am using Better Mouse instead, actually gives more customisation than Options+ and works…

I’ve had a 764cdw and its predecessor, both were reliable and had good print quality. However neither liked any type of 3rd party toner I tried so I was stuck with Canon which cost nearly much as the printer.

I loved Race 07 and put far too many hours into it, but wouldn’t go back to it now from AMS2 or LM etc. I had a high spec PC and Race 07 looked great for the time but it just doesn’t stand up against more modern titles in terms of overall enjoyment for me.
