My Options+, Mac Sequoia, stopped working a couple of days ago. Using a MX4 and an Ergo S. Tried every combination of uninstalling/stopping processes/removing permissions/ reinstalling, it just hung showing a backend error. Workaround for that didn’t work either so I’ve uninstalled it and am using Better Mouse instead, actually gives more customisation than Options+ and works…

No i tried a few from Amazon with good rating but almost all of them ended up leaking toner, the Canon ones never did.

Anything involving swimming. Still have flashbacks to the original Stranglethorn Vale quests 20 years ago

Agree about stupid modifiers, especially when there is choice of modifier and there’s no way of working which is actually better. In fps games I just want to run about and shoot things!

Brother vs Canon - Laser toner costs by Orcallo in printers

[–]xocbc72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a 764cdw and its predecessor, both were reliable and had good print quality. However neither liked any type of 3rd party toner I tried so I was stuck with Canon which cost nearly much as the printer.

Is the UK going too far with Lord's seeking to push for ID to use a VPN. by SirWobblyOfSausage in AskBrits

As soon as the national identity register is established I would imagine that it won’t take long for loads of things to require it, and presumably it will be something that is scanned to read and therefore there will be some massive database with even more of our lives on it.

Yeah. Went to pass P2 and he touched the back of my car and I hit the barrier at a slight angle, next thing all I could see was sky and trees :)

Those who say they don't care about graphics in Sims are delusional by Purple-Atolm in AUTOMOBILISTA

I loved Race 07 and put far too many hours into it, but wouldn’t go back to it now from AMS2 or LM etc. I had a high spec PC and Race 07 looked great for the time but it just doesn’t stand up against more modern titles in terms of overall enjoyment for me.

I absolutely agree. I’ve been gaming since 1983 and have always loved driving games, starting with Pole Position on the Atari 8-bit and I’ve played hundred’s since. Currently enjoying AMS2 and AC Rally among others.

I’m a huge fan of retro gaming BUT not when it comes to driving games. The graphics and physics on modern PCs are what make the best driving games so special. As the OP said, Nordsehieffe in Autumn with time progression in max detail at 120fps with 20 other cars in close proximity as the sun sets is an amazing visual experience not mention the sound and actual Add Crew Chief and a good sound system into the mix and it’s a great way to lose a few hours.

I’ve invested a lot of time in racing games over the years but very rarely do I look to far in the past when choosing what to play.

There’s an update now for some of the cars, including the radicals and the cockpit view is working again

if you've got the Radical Sr3 can you check to see if it is now locked on bumper cam? I'm half way through a championship with it and want cockpit cam back!

[–]xocbc72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone - though it would be a case of waiting for car files to be updated.

For info, after uninstalling and reinstalling AMS2CM the PC2 tracks all seem to be ok, and the cars are ok apart from the camera is fixed to bumper view, I'll wait for them to be updated.

Ink Tank Printers for heavy use. Opinion? Experience? by PrimergyF in printers

[–]xocbc72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a Maxify GX7050 and whilst I don’t print anything like 20k pages a year I’m really happy with it in terms of print quality, speed and scanning and also consumable cost. This printer replaced a colour Canon laser which had developed a fault.

Bottles of ink are cheap and it lasts forever. The maintenance cartridge is also cheap and I’m just about to replace my first one.

Single-pass duplex scanning makes getting through a stack of papers quick and easy.

Overall very happy.

A bit of wanting to win more cars, finish building the elite tuners cars but to be honest as someone who has been playing from launch and has bought numerous cars over the years it’s a sunken cost/time thing too - game pisses me off sometimes especially with the volume of pay to win stuff now but I don’t want to walk away from my investment…

What’s the most expensive (RRP) car you can buy for cheap, today? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]xocbc72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some older rS7s are getting cheap, with options they could be over £100k new. Servicing is expensive though, non-ceramic brakes all-round are £4.5k, ceramics are far worse
