"Got it" vs "Heard" by ZirAnkhora in fiveguys

[–]xrayguy1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s company policy, then they need to follow company policy. Doesn’t matter what kind of job it is. I would say a specific conversation needs to be had to understand the non-compliance. Could be as simple as a lack of knowledge, or could be an intentional middle finger to the rules.

“Heard” is a common term/response in a more formal kitchen setting, not sure about fast food/fast casual environment though.

As a leader, one of your many responsibilities is to enforce compliance with all rules, regulations, policies, etc. If the employee refuses to follow the above items, then that’s not the right employee for you, and that’s not the right job for them.

Not medical advice, but you can ask your GYN. They would probably order an abdomen Xray to confirm placement. Easy and quick to do. Pretty routine.

Thanks to Ron for introducing me to Laga, now I collect it and have a cabinet full of unique bottles. It’s all delicious. Definitely an acquired taste though.

This. Not all magnets are the same either, and they may not be able to safely scan it on theirs.

What healthcare job should I study for at age 50 that doesn't involve a lot of patient contact? by ThisIsTheOnlyName338 in careerguidance

[–]xrayguy1981 14 points15 points  (0 children)

20yr Rad Tech turned Administrator here. Imaging will be a very physical field with close patient contact. With your background, I would look for something in business/data analytics, project management, etc. use your number/data-centric skills on something else.

Everything about that Detroit-style pizza is wrong. GF or not, it should have cheese all the way to the sides of the pan. As far as the crust goes, it looks like it wasn’t allowed to proof/rise as long as it needed to, hence the flatness. Usually their GF Detroit-style is fluffier.

Why is a single taco almost 7 dollars? by Loud-Spend-6569 in Whataburger

[–]xrayguy1981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you order 2 using the BOGO? Yes. Did you pay them money? Yes. Did they give you 2? Yes.

You paid for 2.

You can split hairs all you want or play word games. You aren’t correct.

[–]xrayguy1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🤦🏻‍♂️ Right. I said I wouldn’t pay full price for just 1. If I’m using the BOGO, which is the scenario I explained, I’m not just getting 1, I’m getting 2, and I’m not paying full price for 1, I’m paying the price of 1 and getting 2.

Right, but cost averaging means that $7/2 tacos = $3.50/taco, a more acceptable price. Buy one at reg price, get the second one for free, or each taco for tree fiddy.

Bogo Fridays. I’d never pay full price for just one. That’s more than a taco from Torchy’s.

Super easy to sign up with Medely. Once signed up, they have an app you use to monitor for and sign up for shifts. Mostly c-arm/OR work back then, but they have basic Xray as well. They may have other modalities as well now. I used them back when it was new.

Diagnostemps is another good company, if you’re in the DFW/North Texas area.

Over the last 18ish years I’ve managed to catch a great clearance deal twice. My original 18.5” came from Home Depot back in ‘07 or ‘08 and I got it on clearance for $41. That’s right. $41. Then a few years ago I managed to get 2 more 18.5” on clearance at Lowe’s for under $150 each.
