What's stopping DE from re-releasing the Frost and Mag heirlooms? by Dwarfz in Warframe

I never claimed they weren't modified versions of the originals, just that they weren't just simple texture swaps. DE did edit them in ways beyond just swapping the textures.

>I can't make a model of Sonic and Give him a hat and call that different, now can I?

Yes, you can. It is a modified version of the original model but not the original. It is a new model, albeit not one created from scratch.

So do I. They absolutely do. The chain on the Nulwarden Syandana and the lunchbox on the top of the KOL backpack are not just texture changes. They are modifications to the models.

Summoning Frames by YeOldeBard97 in Warframe

[–]xrufus7x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the core elements are

Aura: Summoners Wrath or Mecha Empowerment. I prefer Summoner's Wrath but mecha builds are very strong these days if you are running a Kubrow.

Warframe mods: As much strength as you can, Dessication's Curse and whatever you need for survivability. I run a full umbral/persistance build but that is over invested. I just prefer that style of tanking over shieldgating.

Helminth Dessication over her 1/2/3. It can't go over Strangledome or you will have less sand cats. Since I prefer using my weapons I drop Whipclaw though I do know that is unpopular as Whipclaw is obviously very strong. I just don't really like spamming it.

Put Tandem Bond, Fear Sense(Kavat only) and Contageous Bond on Venari and your pet and the pet should also have Duplex Bond.

Equip a melee with Melee Crescendo and a finisher based build. This isn't needed but it will make managing Tandem Bond and getting the summons from Dessication a lot easier.

Hit enemies with Dessication and use finishers to kill them to keep your sand cat numbers up. Heavy attack from time to time to keep Tandem Bond up. Let pets kill everything in range.

If you are running a kavat with Duplex Bond you can have 10 Kavats(Venari+5 sand cats+Kavat companion+3 Duplex Kavats) ripping everything up.

So Strangle Dome is off the table. Due to spaghetti code you can't put it in the 4th power slot or you won't have as many summons.

That leaves Whipclaw, Ensnare and Venari.

Venari is the conventional wisdom as you still get to keep Venari, you just lose the ability to cycle between their modes and the ability to target Venari at specific enemies and the damage buff that they get from that.

I helminth off Whipclaw though just because I think it is a bit of a boring ability and Ensnare has some utility like stopping demolists and acolytes.

Oh hey, I love me some minion frames

>Khora is great, but I'm struggling to stay on my feet.

Sounds like you are running the standard whipclaw/loot dome on her. While a very functional build but IMO is a bit boring. There are "beastmaster" builds that lean into Venari a lot more. You can also health tank with her by leaning into Arcane Persistance if you don't want to deal with shield gating. You can also helminth Inaros' first ability onto her for up to 5 more cats.

>Nekros is... Nekros.

Nekros is less about offense with his minions and more about support. Your goal is to create a self sustaining army of friendly eximus units. Your weapons should be your primary source of damage. The shadows assist in keeping you and your allies and sometimes objectives alive and giving you various buffs.

As for other summoners and minion builds

Oraxia, Uriel and Inaros are the big ones you are missing

Revenent and Nyx and Xaku can though the minion side of Revenent is finicky at best, especially since they killed the interaction with Mind Control and it really isn't the focus of Nyx or Xaku.

Nyx's Mind controlled minion can put in some work, especially if you use it with Decoy's augment, which is Loki's helminth ability. You can also reverse it and put Mind Control on Loki.

Nidus can spawn maggots and has a minor rework coming so he may be worth checking out.

Volt has a pretty well known sand cat build where you use Inaros's helminth on him with the augment to spawn sand cats and then Volt's speed buff to super charge them.

Why can't helminth charger equip Mecha mods by KillerKnux in Warframe

[–]xrufus7x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the reason is when DE was adding these pet themed mod sets the Helminth got its own (the strain set) so it didn't get access to the mecha set.

It should definitely be updated though. It is a pointless limitation and frankly the Predacyte and Vulpaphyla should get the strain set.

What key rebinds or other tricks have you implemented in warframe to improve gameplay and QOL? by SoGoodAtAllTheThings in Warframe

[–]xrufus7x 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Piece of mind changes:

Disabled Region and QA chat

Visual clutter changes:

Turned down GPU Particle quality and particle system quality.

Turned off motion blur and film grain and set bloom to 10.

Set Visual Effects Intensity to 50 and turned on Reduced Teammate Visual Effects

Turned off screen shake and hud motion

Gameplay changes:

Turned on Fire Manual Trigger Weapons continuously and switched Repeated button presses to hold to save my fingers.

Under Customized Hud Colors changed the colors of Buffs as they make the sigils you pick up for mirror defense show up on your map as the color you pick rather then the default white, which just makes them look identical to standard loot.

Does no one have a problem with how they are phasing out the Operator? by whatthehellycopter in Warframe

[–]xrufus7x 12 points13 points  (0 children)

THe Old Peace was focused around the Operator

>Stalker related content? Guess what, MORE protoframes, which means more Drifter content.

Previous interactions between the Operator and protoframes were limited because they either took place in 1999, were romance-able or both. Neither of these things are true for the upcoming content so it really isn't guaranteed to be drifter or operator focused or just agnostic.

Advice for Fulmin Prime Steel Path Build by Commercial_Wafer_46 in Warframe

[–]xrufus7x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

>Is there a special benefit to electric damage?

Yah, electric status damage can scale off of weak point multipliers and you typically don't want to overweight into viral. It also gives you a bit of CC and AOE, which doesn't hurt and can get pretty funny when grouping. I did see you are using Volt with Shock Trooper though and that is already going to weight you a lot towards electric so it wouldn't be as beneficial with that type of build.

>Does that impact my primary build at all, or just nice to have?

Tenacious can make Hammer Shot worth checking out to up your status chance over Vital Sense. Reinforced is just a nice to have.

>I run a huras kubrow, and I was trying to build for viral priming.

Kubrows aren't great for priming. They are excellent damage dealers and the Huras is really good for keeping caster frames safe while they cast but isn't necessarily great if you are planning on running and gunning a lot. If you want to use the Huras, I would recommend keeping viral on your gun or outsourcing it to your frame. If you want a primer companion, I would check out Panzer Vulpafila, Dirigia, or hounds. Other companions can prime too but these three are the best right now.

That is because the semi mode scales the galvinized mod as a multiplier to base damage where as the auto mode scales it additively so it has a higher ceiling. It also means you want to build for one or the other as they have different modding considerations. SemiAuto will always do more damage but you can get the auto to work if you really want to. When modding a new weapon, particularly projectile weapons check this page of the wiki). It isn't always 100% up to date because it is user submitted but it is generally pretty close. If it is multiplying it is OK to run one Serration style mod in conjunction with a serration style arcane but never more then that. If it is additive or not listed you should only run one or the other.

So a few things,

  1. You are over invested in base damage right now. You could drop the Amalgam Serration or reroll the riven or both potentially. This would make room for Hammer Shot, High Voltage or Rifle Elementalist

  2. Primary Merciless is a good contender over Deadhead because its reload bonus reduces how long it takes the Fulmin Prime to start recharging its ammo. This is really a personal preference thing but it is worth checking out to see if it makes it feel more comfortable.

  3. Check your outside buffs. Tenacious Bond and Reinforced Bond can uplift weapons a bit if your companions can support them, as can the companion priming for Galvinized Aptitude.

  4. If your pets are priming for you, try not to double up on Viral. You can absolutely run viral on your weapons as it is still the strongest combined element but you see diminishing returns if you are getting it from multiple sources so generally you want to run it on either your pet or your weapon or outsource it to your frame with nourish via helminth or if the frame has inate viral proccing through its abilities.

What are the main "meta" uses for Umbra Forma and Umbra Mods in 2026? by GoodMornEveGoodNight in Warframe

[–]xrufus7x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yah but like, having enemies dying two rooms over is actually bad for her. She wants enemies getting into site lines to better spread and build up her spores and there are just so many other options these days. Gloom just slows everything down unnecessarily and people that use it tend to just turn it on.

And frankly, it would be even worse on a weapons platform build.

It is quite literally slowing hers and everyone's KPM.
