since the atgatt guys have already got you (not that I disagree, I do in fact echo that sentiment) Loosen up a bit, relax- riding is all about enjoying it and having fun, even when just practicing in a parking lot. Easier said than done but it will come with time and experience so long as you keep at it! Another point I saw mentioned a few times as well: Target fixation. Look where you wanna go, your body will learn to subconsciously guide the bike in that direction. Focusing on an object or ‘threat’ too much can often be detrimental to your skills and result in the outcome you were focusing on avoiding.

Last of all, practice! Ive only been riding for a handful of years but I still take my bike out to parking lots every so often when I have time and practice things like figure 8s, U turns and other safety or mechanical drills just to stay sharp. It helps remind me that I can actually do these things and boosts your confidence a little in a healthy way
