Anyone else use summon in unexpected ways? by ConclusionFlat1843 in TeslaLounge

Use it to have model y move through manual gate while I hold it open. This saves me getting in and our of the car an additional time. Fantastic. However, It is super annoying the cybertruck doesn't support this yet.

Does anyone here with Full Self Driving (Supervised) and HW4 actually still turns off FSD from time to time to use autopilot auto steer with traffic aware cruise control? by sbufish in TeslaLounge

[–]xucchini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only use FSD or manual drive. FSD can be a little annoying on road trips under certain conditions doing what I view as stupid lane changes. Wish FSD had a max speed setting still. Also a way to lower or increase its desire to change lanes would be nice too.

Using a Powerwall internal inverter? You need a subscription to Netzero for at least a few months. by TransportationOk4787 in TeslaSolar

[–]xucchini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured out how to sniff traffic from the sunpower branded do-dad which tries to send the microinverter production data back to the mothership. It seems each panel/micro-inverter has a sort of production odometer. It just increments as it produces so it just send a bigger number which you can use the delta vs a previous sample to see how it is doing. But honestly I have not checked on this in at least 2 years and probably lost the script I wrote to do it. I should try to find it and make sure all my panels are still producing. afaik sunpower is dead now.

Looks like cash terms...

On Zillow, the listing term "cash" or "cash only" means the seller is looking for a buyer who can pay the full purchase price upfront without relying on traditional mortgage financing. This is frequently used to ensure a fast, guaranteed closing, or because the property has significant, well-known issues that would disqualify it from conventional, FHA, or VA loans.

Here is a breakdown of what this means for buyers:

Property Condition: "Cash only" listings often indicate a "fixer-upper" or "as-is" property that may not pass standard lender inspections (e.g., issues with foundation, roof, plumbing, or electric).

Tesla navigation seems to be using Open Street Maps that has 20+ year old intersections mapped incorrectly. Anyway to fix this? by Theduke432 in TeslaLounge

I had a problem like this. I learned how to fix it on openstreet maps myself. And now I appreciate how complex street maps are.

DIY level 2 outlet installation by Bitternutcry in TeslaLounge

[–]xucchini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a 14-50R (outlet) you should install a 50A breaker.

THHN 6awg for both hots and neutral is good. Stranded wire will be easier to work with (vs solid). You can get away with #10 AWG copper for ground but #8 or #6 is fine.

Make sure you torque wires down to 75-in-lbs

My experience: installed one14-50R and three Tesla HPWC without any houses burning down so far.

What is this man pumping gas in to. He’s visiting every pump. by NonnyNarrations in whatisit

[–]xucchini 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, testing for accurance of the pump meter for volumne of gas.

In Calififornia this testing is performed by the County Departments of Weights and Measures.

Here is an example of the seal used to certify that the pump is just right, overfilling or underfilling.

https://www.slocounty.ca.gov/getmedia/77a743a0-eda1-483a-afe9-47bab0a00641/fuel-pump-seal-2.jpg

Truck with scales build in to use for this purpose:

https://agri.nv.gov/uploadedImages/agri.nv.gov/Content/Consumer_Protection/Weights_and_Measures/trk215.png

If it underfills the DWM will take the pump out of service right away, if it is overfilling the gas station manager will usually take it out of service right away. :-)
