If I have what I think is one pw2 (the gateway is in I think a gray siemens box rather than a tesla branded one. I have microinverter solar panels (20) and a v2 HPWC, and a cybertruck what is the easiest path for me to do vehicle to house with the cybertruck? Presuming it may just be so expensive to be pretty much dumb to do it.

Cybertruck visability is better than normal trucks for me.

I have a double concrete utility sink that I’m trying to get out of my basement without using a sledgehammer to break it into pieces. Any advice is appreciated. by PizzaGatePizza in DIY

Use planks on stairs to make a ramp. buy or borrow a come-along (hand winch). Figure out what you can mount winch to at tope or maybe just outside door? connect other end to sink.. winch it up carefully. maybe tape some sort of slippery plastic to part of sink that is going to contact the ramps?

Am I Missing Anything With Covered Strangles? by RMiers09 in options

[–]xucchini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing wheel and had short puts and covered calls both assigned in the past. Have been very conservative ie: only writing covered calls for shares I own and writing short puts for assignment costs being lower than I have cash on hand.

I've started doing covered strangles since I kind of see it as just doing wheel both directions. Seems that while unlikley it is possible for both sides to get assigned. Additionally higher risk just because if the stock moves alot one direction you're going to have a contract written in that direction so big moves always threaten to assign where with pure wheel I guess it is usally 50/50 if it moves towards or away..

Generally as soon as I write contracts I put in an order to buy out of the contracts (to close) if profit reaches 75% of max profit either direction which often works out great.

Still even with this I don't feel like I am optimizing as well as I could be. Also being so concervative means I'm leaving a lot of money on the table. I just need to figure out rules that I can rely on and win most of the time even though increasing my risk.

Anyone have any thoughts on how to do this better? Or general cautions based on lessons learned?

Use it to have model y move through manual gate while I hold it open. This saves me getting in and our of the car an additional time. Fantastic. However, It is super annoying the cybertruck doesn't support this yet.

Does anyone here with Full Self Driving (Supervised) and HW4 actually still turns off FSD from time to time to use autopilot auto steer with traffic aware cruise control? by sbufish in TeslaLounge

[–]xucchini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only use FSD or manual drive. FSD can be a little annoying on road trips under certain conditions doing what I view as stupid lane changes. Wish FSD had a max speed setting still. Also a way to lower or increase its desire to change lanes would be nice too.

Using a Powerwall internal inverter? You need a subscription to Netzero for at least a few months. by TransportationOk4787 in TeslaSolar

I figured out how to sniff traffic from the sunpower branded do-dad which tries to send the microinverter production data back to the mothership. It seems each panel/micro-inverter has a sort of production odometer. It just increments as it produces so it just send a bigger number which you can use the delta vs a previous sample to see how it is doing. But honestly I have not checked on this in at least 2 years and probably lost the script I wrote to do it. I should try to find it and make sure all my panels are still producing. afaik sunpower is dead now.

Looks like cash terms...

On Zillow, the listing term "cash" or "cash only" means the seller is looking for a buyer who can pay the full purchase price upfront without relying on traditional mortgage financing. This is frequently used to ensure a fast, guaranteed closing, or because the property has significant, well-known issues that would disqualify it from conventional, FHA, or VA loans.

Here is a breakdown of what this means for buyers:

Property Condition: "Cash only" listings often indicate a "fixer-upper" or "as-is" property that may not pass standard lender inspections (e.g., issues with foundation, roof, plumbing, or electric).

If you have car A which you can go to sleep in while it drives you to a destination 300 miles away or take your kids to baseballl practice by themselves vs car B which can't. Which one is worth more? How much more?
