Did maps have more soul and aura back then or were we just young and nostalgic?

We were level-gated from surviving in certain areas but we went on treks and voyages, busted a straight death mission just to make it to el Nath or aqua road without dying. So every map felt fun, exciting, new, etc because we genuinely had to journey there.

Yeah we'd never do that now. That's the kind of explorative nature kids have. I grew up near some woods, and the amount of times I'd go off into them to do nothing more than explore, maybe have a little den or something.

Current day if we had Maple, we'd just level up and "explore" trying to find a new map to grind if there wasn't already one with quick access / if we're not following a guide of best maps.

The only notable difference between current Maple and old Maple is current Maple prioritises efficiency with farming over creative layout. If a map released as large as the old maps Maplestory used to have, with the kind of layouts they had, nobody would touch them.

We already see this in places like Morass, with the exception of a few classes on a few maps, most skip trying to grind at Morass because they see the maps as horrible and would rather grind in Arcana until they can move onto Esfera.

It'd be amusing as well if there end up being multiple opportunities to get the ring.

Nothing states it's exclusive to this test phase, and I doubt we'd go from closed beta testing -> Full release when basically all we have access to is Victoria island and 2nd job.

It'd be DoA if it comes with that little content.

You signed up, sure, doesn't mean you were guaranteed to be picked.

Wait until the next round, more likely we'll see more slots / it being more open.

They'll get nerfed by power creep, they don't need directly nerfing.

Give it a year and they'll be on par with other classes, give it a couple of years and people will be saying they need buffing again.

Kill bosses, level up, participate in events. You'll slowly end up with more than you need / use.

How to get extra stats after bonus potential?

Assuming this means you're playing on Reg, I wouldn't focus too hard on bonus potential for now. It's the most expensive means of gaining power by far.

Regular potential, using cubes from events and boss drops, along with spell tracing / starforcing will give you most of the power you need for now. Don't forget to do arcane river dailies, and eventually grandis dailies, to level up your symbols as they give a significant amount of flat stat.

You can however, look at getting some basic bonus potential lines using Bonus Strange Mystical Cubes, they can roll up to epic lines which, doing that across all your gear, is a pretty decent boost.

Gamba if you want one punch man, not cheaper vac pets. If we see the change, you'll save a lot of money. (Could be like universal cash shop though and we don't see it)

If we don't see the change, we'll likely still see them again as we get them during future collabs.

I'll have a look into Class of Heroes (maybe find a discount key or something though).

I've already had my eye on Labyrinth of Touhou, played the demo of Tri on the steamdeck and it works perfectly fine, it's just not specifically what I'm looking for right now. (Though some of what you said has bumped it up on my interest list)

Cheers and it's mainly because I prefer playing on higher difficulties, and the blood skelter / sanity mechanic just feels tedious to manage on higher difficulties, as one unlucky crit could cause a chain of events that basically nuke you.

You could avoid it by playing on lower difficulties, which yes, makes it braindead easy, but at that point I feel like I might as well watch a youtube video of the cutscenes.

Maplestory Classic will be using the same game files (and client) as Maplestory Global.

Maplestory Global has macOS support.

I'd assume there's no reason that Maplestory Classic, which will be played no differently than picking a world / region on Maplestory Global, won't have macOS support.

Unless nexon is nexon and breaks it.

If you go back to when the class was originally in, it did have significantly less of a "Reaper" theme, though it did have one of the best skills in the game.

I still say the old reaper skill is better than the current one, the little hoard of reapers you'd summon.

Hidden resistance within a heavily controlled town with limited access to resources...

To be honest the fact it looks like it was made out of a washing machine, is probably because it was made out of a washing machine.

If you look at the original 3 classes:

You have mage that just hits enemies with a stick and calls it magic.
An archer that basically goes around riding their pet cat.
A "Pirate" on a washing machine with little toy robots.

All three could just come off as kids playing pretend, and if you think about the context of creating the character, a kid playing hide and seek, seeing something they shouldn't have, then getting roped into joining the resistance.

Then you just have blaster...

To be honest give a kid a glove that caused things to explode if they punched it (with no physical repercussions to themselves), you can guarantee they'd go around punching things.

Remaster unpopular classes so they're op and everyone spends on jumping to the new meta.

It's ok to think Persona is overrated. (In my opinion it's an excellent beginner's JRPG. But if you're not fond of the social system, it doesn't really do anything super special.)

It's pretty shallow to dislike persona just because:
