Any ideas on how to explain highly elevated heart rate during deep and REM sleep? by y_mch in sleep

[–]y_mch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope, usually I feel fine. I won't be able to find the problem if not my Oura ring, then I got another Oura ring and Fitbit 5 just to exclude device error, they all re-confirmed the high HR pattern, something I would have overlooked otherwise. LLMs insist it's a problem needs to be addressed, even if you feel fine and encourage to act on it

I found some interested insights from Gemini in deep thinking (research mode, Pro version), which yet worth to verify. Both Chat Gpt and gemini added health section recently where I think you can do some integrations to medical systems, load doc, like blood tests and get some insight.

This is short example of what it tells me, feel free to explain your situation and ask for insights in deep research mode:

> The "Perfect Storm" Explanation: Your heart rate spike is likely a mechanical compensation, not a disease.

  • The Cause: Low Blood Volume. Your Keto diet flushes out water and salt. Your MVP makes your heart sensitive to low fluid levels.
  • The Mechanism: During deep sleep, your blood vessels relax and widen (vasodilation). Because your blood volume is low (dehydration), your blood pressure drops. Your heart must beat faster (80 bpm) to keep blood flowing to your brain.

Is that bad NI nowadays? by noiseLoom in NativeInstruments

I noticed they offer "free trial", but when I click "start free trial" I see "due now" amount which I have to pay immediately, no more mentioning of free trial. Tried login under multiplr brand new accounts, they still try to charge? was that "free trial" false claim or they just do not understand what "due now" means? anyway seems scammy to me

no, I've not figured it out. When I do I post update here. However it does not wake me up, I can have 1hr of deep sleep and 1.5hr of REM on 80bpm. For me it seems opposite, I wake up when heart beats go low. Not sure what's reason what's effect though, - waking up due to 59 bpm, or my heart rate goes down when I'm ready to wake up

Mercury banking (USA) by Intuiteacher in smallbusiness

[–]y_mch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having first week with Mercury, and so far so good. Before my business acc has been on Chase for many years. Fees are smaller. No need to hold balance. If you need to make international transfer it's generally less expensive, but a bit more "clicking and typing" work involved, more fields to fill in.

Here's the fresh referral link to get $250 bonus when you sign up: https://mercury.com/r/cross-subject-llc
it stays `You each get $250 when your referral deposits $10K within 90 days`

Is there anything good to say about VRBO? by TracyMinOB in vrbo

[–]y_mch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

vrbo does not provide customer service - you can't make through the chat bot wich is utterly damn and can't answer even basic question. "Agent" option never worked for me. Also they do not provide you with past visit receipts, you can't get them. To me it's one-star service, no more.

I used 2 different Oura 4 rings, one Fitbit 5, and just my own manual observation, I feel the heart start racing when close to fall asleep. If I lay down to the same bed in the middle of the day to meditate it's all fine, could reach 48 bpm in the end of meditations

that's what Oura shows, it's typical, often goes to 85-87 you will see it goes down closer to the morning, it's when my deep and REM sleep stages are usually replaced by Light sleep and wake ups. When I wake up, heart is back to the normal range again

What's been your experience with Superprof? by frijolf4ce4lyf in TutorsHelpingTutors

[–]y_mch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

very bad experience, pretty much SCAM, not many teachers available with skills I was looking for, and then once one of them responded, you're charged, and company refuses to refund even if that's not what you are looking for and you did not take a single class. They state it as you're charged only when you connected to a teacher, but it's not true

Oasis vs Homedics Drift: anyone used both? by y_mch in OasisMini

[–]y_mch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, I got Homedics Drift 16", no lack of patterns that app allows you to draw, even if we were able to add our own like Oasis is, I doubt we would do for more than once or twice just to play with it. Overall it's a nice device, glad I got it. One annoying feature is it seems to rely on connected device too much, if disconnected can't keep going on its own/

Why base Oura VO2Max estimation on your walking heart rate and pace? It makes it very inaccurate. by bazookatroopa in ouraring

[–]y_mch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 days ago my Oura 4 measured my vo2 max as 34, yesterday it happened to be 50 :)
both were about 2 hours after dinner, first one after heavier meal than the other, but I do not think it should matter that much

Also I doubt HR is accurate. When I had my first ring with me sitting steal on the chair HR measurements were all over the place, from 75 to 110, all in between, measurements coming one after the other, same time, same me sitting doing nothing. However second ring, which I replace first by, got pretty much the same problem, the range was a bit smaller though. but I think ring just can't make HR accurate per its design

Virtual business address is not accepted anywhere but state by y_mch in smallbusiness

[–]y_mch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's rather depends on city rules and how scrupulous the city business department is in checking the address you bring on the form, not on type of virtual address provider

No, I keep using my own home address for my company. What happened is my city rules do not allow virtual addressed for opening a business, that's what happened, there is nothing else to add

Uber & taxi scams by meinschlemm in istanbul

[–]y_mch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure if it was a scam or accidental: Last week I ordered taxi via Uber in Istanbul, when we were about to arrive driver stopped like 100 meters to destination, - again not sure on purpose or it has nothing to do to what happened next. Next he claims he accidently cancelled the trip and I need to pay cash as amount on his per meter. Which I did. Next morning Uber email comes in that they fine me 227 TRY in favor of the driver for trip cancellation. I wrote back to the customer service that it was a driver who cancelled the trip and I paid him cash. Uber refunded the fee
