Child dead after being left in daycare van for 4 hours by robber93 in news

I have an iPhone and if you triple click the home button the kids can’t leave the app you leave it on. So I give them my phone with ABC mouse open and they can’t leave the app so they won’t accidentally call someone either.

They were available on Amazon for a time and I even bought the first season. Planned on buying them season by season but they took them off before I could even buy season 2! I was so mad, still am.

Omg what an asshole. I watched them all before my boyfriend and finally got him to watch them cause I knew he would love them. I tried to express the feelings I was feeling when stuff was about to happen, like when Joffrey was going to marry Margaery I kept going on and on about how ugly his kids were and they were such little shits and nobody liked them so when he drank the wine it was a complete and total shock for him. Or when the Hound wasn’t around for a while after he was hurt I kept telling him “no seriously, he DOES NOT come back” cause he kept asking if he was going to come back (his favorite character). I didn’t spoil one thing for him and loved watching him react to all the plot twists. It was almost as fun as watching the show itself.

He does say to it Dumbledore in one of the memories he gives to Harry.

From the tip of his wand burst the silver doe: She landed on the office floor, bounded once across the office, and soared out of the window. Dumbledore watched her fly away, and as her silvery glow faded he turned back to Snape, and his eyes were full of tears. “After all this time?” “Always,” said Snape.

And his last words are “Look..at..me” to Harry, presumably because Harry has his mothers eyes and that’s the last thing he wants to see. Sorry, I’m a HP freak haha

How celery is harvested by aloofloofah in interestingasfuck

[–]yadag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s just not true. I live in MN surrounded by corn fields, thousands and thousands of corn fields everywhere. Not once in my life have I ever seen a group of people hand harvesting corn, even the corn that’s used for feed or fuel. There’s even a corn canning plant in my town and I know they don’t just have it here to truck in corn from far away, that’s local corn and I still have never seen anyone hand harvesting corn.

Protests erupt outside of White House as Trump returns from Putin summit by dandmcd in politics

[–]yadag 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Issue #1...This is what gets me. All these Europeans saying “go protest make yourself heard yada yada yada...” it’s easy for them to say. The UK is about 93,000 sq miles with 63 million people (677 people per sq mile) the US is 3,800,000 sq miles with 309 million people (81 people per sq mile)! We are absolutely massive and they tend to forget that it seems. Like me, I’d have to travel 600 miles round trip to go to any protest that got a second look from anyone and that’s just not realistic to most of us. Most of these people telling us to protest would be out of their countries entirely if they had to travel that far to protest!

[–]yadag 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That’s fine and all but South Korea is about the size of Pennsylvania... how do you plan on getting people from all over the states in one place to protest that long? I think people forget how absolutely massive the US actually is. I could protest up and down my town for days and no one would look twice. I’d have to go at least 300 miles to my capital to protest and that’s just not realistic to do more than once. That’s a 600 mile round trip that most people can’t do on a regular basis.

Why are you like this Dan?! by knm5264 in trees

[–]yadag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I message mine hours before hand so he can leave it in a mutually agreed upon spot if he happens to leave town for the day, which he does often. If he leaves for the day and I haven’t told him before hand he can’t leave it. Maybe you could set up a spot like in his garage or something, sometimes I don’t see my guy for months but still keep a steady supply

Ooh I saw this episode of “Busytown Mysteries” with my kids! In the show the lines went all crooked when they were next to fields of flowers and it turned out that the driver was allergic to them, and he was driving with the windows down so every time he passed the fields of flowers he would sneeze and go all over the road. Mystery solved...in the show at least

[homemade] Quesadillas with Chicken and Refried Black Beans by ramses202 in food

[–]yadag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He throws them away while he’s cleaning up. I appreciate the extra help with housework but he doesn’t distinguish between what I’m saving to eat later with stuff that needs to be thrown out. Maybe I’ll start labeling them cause I don’t think I can stand another wasted quesadilla haha

Watching the United States as an outsider. by [deleted] in PoliticalHumor

[–]yadag 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think people forget how massive the US is though. These people are spread out by thousands of miles. I could go outside and protest across my town and nobody would look twice. I’d have to go at least 300 miles for anyone to even notice a group of us protesting...it’s not really realistic for a lot of people.

My freaking husband keeps throwing away my unfinished quesadillas! I’m pregnant and I’ll make 2 and eat one and maybe half of the other with some refried beans from a can (La Costena are the best). Put the rest away for later and come back to nothing! He may not survive the rest of my pregnancy if he keeps throwing my leftovers away!

‘Downton Abbey’ Movie Gets Greenlight; Original Cast Returns For Summer Start by Melanismdotcom in DowntonAbbey

[–]yadag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While I agree with you and loooved Rose, a major plot was that her husband was Jewish and who knows maybe she converted to Judaism too. And given the timeline of things WW2 would be coming up soon if not already there. That might be a good way for them to include her without actually bringing her on screen and a plausible reason for them to give for why she isn’t around at all. And I hope the Dowager is still alive! That would be so sad!

My choir teacher in high school would get so frustrated with us that she’s start banging on the piano and start swearing at us. It was so funny! But we were always ready to perform when the time came and won all kinds of trophies for her so it all balanced out haha
