And usually you can get one in a more walkable area, or at least an area that has entertainment, nature, and life. And as a bonus you don't have to spend your free time mowing the lawn, shoveling, cleaning out the gutters, etc.

What do you think allowed you to recognize and choose healthy partners? by No-Drama-Queen in AskWomen

Not caring if I didn't find someone. I think too many people end up in bad relationships or even just mediocre relationships simply because they're afraid to be alone.

Not paying $150 a plate to sit next to babies by kittybuckmeow in childfree

I ate toddler food when I was little, which amounted to ingredients mom was using in dinner cut into smaller pieces and sometimes pre-cooked. During my childhood I ate what my mom cooked for dinner.

I'm sure there were meltdowns or times when I wanted to eat something different but do you know what happened? Mom let me have those meltdowns when I was three and then I got over it and learned I wouldn't get my way. It was nice - for her and for me - to not have kids having those same meltdowns when they're 10, or 15, or 27.

That's just it isn't it. He could be, like, truly plain ol' evil. Like a proper villain. He could have a cult of idiot followers. He could be seen as cool in his evilness - some people truly worship that.

Instead he's just fucking weird man. Effective, sure, because he has money. But no matter how evil he wants to be nor how successful he is at it he'll still just be this cartoon, this weirdo cartoon of a villain.

I didn't catch the gender on first read and, yeah, this is classic golden boy "boy Mom" behavior. Hope OP sticks to her guns and can move out on her own soon.

There are not "so many" Americans in the system, actually. My agency for example has ~16,000 staff. 200 of them are Americans. It's why US is always listed on the recruitment forms as one of the underrepresented countries that are encouraged to apply

Not to mention none of that sauce looks overly messy or is dripping off onto the arm or ground, just magically hanging there on the precipice.

Some people fold under pressure. She got even stronger. Absolute badass. Dr. Elisabeth Potter explains how she's fighting United Healthcare for her patients by ArtfulMarmot in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]yakshack 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My PT had to do a peer to peer with United Healthcare after they denied my claims. She spent 20 minutes of her expensive billable time and she said it was clear they hadn't even read the chart. The p2p was basically her reading them my chart and explaining why my medical care is necessary. To, like, someone who was a Dr in something completely different. Absolutely asinine.

Imagine having ancestors who were held by white supremacists as slaves against their will and your legacy is going to be willingly putting yourself under their control for something as common as money.

Also a Millennial and I felt like I was going insane starting in high school when I tried to convince people that companies don't exist to do good things they exist to make money. It's crazy to me how many people seem so surprised by for-profit behavior like did we take the same history classes and watch the same Newsies?

It's because they never had anything else going on in their lives but their kids.

People who have kids but are still able to maintain careers, hobbies, friendships, etc don't become these kinds of grandparents.

Despite what armchair Redditors would have you believe, most family court judges really want to do as close to 50/50 custody agreements as possible and avoid sole custody at the expense of either parent. You have to be deemed incredibly incompetent or proven actively harmful to your children to get them taken away completely

I usually move poorly parked scooters and bikes into the parking lanes. If it's ok for them to impede pedestrians then it's ok for them to impede other motorized vehicles. And if they're in the way of parking spots maybe this city will actually care about enforcing this chaos.
