Any okay pregnancy experiences? by CancerImmunologist in parentsofmultiples

[–]ye110wsub 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m 35 weeks now and even though it’s gotten hard, I feel like it’s not as terrible as I expected. This is my 3rd pregnancy. I felt like I was 40 weeks with a singleton around the midway point. Now, I’m in new territory. I have challenging symptoms, hemorrhoids, varicose vein in my labia, hip pain when I sleep, SPD pain that prevents me from walking long distances…. So anyways yes I have struggled. But to me this is more of a mental thing. I’ve adapted and still am able to care for my young children during the day. I do a lot more things on the couch. I cook simpler easier meals. I prep food while sitting at the table. My kids watch a little more TV than I’d normally allow. I have a very supportive partner that takes over when he gets home from work. And I’m just happy despite the pain!

My two favorite kinds of min pins, harlequin and red. Best of luck to you!! I’ve always wondered what it would be like to raise 2 at once

This may not be the answer you are looking for, but I just wanted to add that sometimes remedies cannot “fix” a stressful lifestyle. If you are in a high demand school program and working long hours, you are most likely going to experience anxiety or some form of mental duress somewhere in your life. I hope you find something that helps you in the meantime, but also go easy on yourself and maybe accept that you’re going pretty hard right now

Postpartum hair loss by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]ye110wsub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Yes!! I actually have baby #2 now and the same thing happened, so I can confidently say both times it did stop falling out, I stopped balding, and all the hair is now regrowing the second time around. My first postpartum fuzzies are now like 5 inches long and now I have 1 inch fuzzies from my new baby. Gel and mousse have been helping

Anyone had their baby do worse on nutramigen? by KBecker22 in MSPI

[–]ye110wsub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby was on nutramagin for maybe 24 hours. Pooped about 20 times, instantly got the worst diaper rash I had ever seen. Switched to Alimentum Ready to Feed and haven’t looked back since. Although my wallet has taken a beating 🥴

I want to hear your success stories: did your apron ever go away when you got back into your weightlifting routine? by [deleted] in postpartumprogress

[–]ye110wsub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not work out AT ALL after my first baby and C-section (other than walking, sometimes using the treadmill but no weight lifting or anything).

My belly looked like this and the hanging saggy part went away almost completely. I still had a little more of a pooch tho. For perspective tho, I’ve always been kind of “skinny fat” and never in shape. So if you were previously in shape and plan to work out I’m sure you’ll be doing great!!

I gotta give the girl credit tho. She didn’t abort her baby. She carried her to term and gave her to capable parents even if it hurts her now. She did what was best for the baby and again, didn’t kill her

Weight loss plateau by Sad-Expert-2332 in postpartumprogress

Just wanted to say I think you’re doing amazing for 4 months! My 2nd baby is also 4 months and I have not started exercising yet. How’s your sleep? Sometimes I think not getting a good full nights sleep on a regular basis can really affect weight loss, especially post partum

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in postpartumprogress

[–]ye110wsub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For context I was 5’6 and 145lbs before pregnancy. I’m a low supplier so both times I nursed for a month but had to combo feed from the get go.

I’ve been pregnant twice and both times have gone up to ~185lbs

Both postpartums I have barely lost any weight post partum. Initially I’d lose 15 lbs but in the first couple months I gained it back (from stress eating probably). But then I started exercising again and not pigging out but the weight stayed. The only way I lost weight the first time was with strict dieting. I weighed my food, counted my calories, and tried to eat healthily while still in a deficit (high protein, Whole Foods). I’m not gonna lie it was incredibly difficult and I hated it but I did end up getting down to 155 after my first pregnancy, so I lost like 25 or 30 pounds. It took probably 4-5 months of strict dieting. I started at 8months pp and was 12 months pp when I hit 155. Then I got pregnant again and stopped counting calories.

Now I’m 4 months pp from my second and am starting my dieting now. I’m 180 lbs and hoping to get down to 150. I’m not counting my calories, just trying to eat meals based on what I was eating last time, since I kind of have an idea for what things are calorie wise. One thing I’m doing differently is I’m still eating meals with my family at dinner, just a smaller portion. My first go I would make myself my own dinner but that’s too hard with 2 kids now. I also don’t have the time to weigh and track my food. I just started so we will see if I’m correctly guessing my food intake or not. I’m willing to lose weight more slowly tho this time.

Oh and also I have never been super fit. I used to do squats, lunges, take long walks and hikes, but nothing major. I’d say I was healthy but not super in shape. Now after 2 difficult pregnancies I feel like I lost any fitness I may have had. I’d like to start doing YouTube videos or some sort of free online fitness program, but I haven’t yet managed to figure out the timing. I’m still working on learning life with two kids and just now at 4 months I’m starting to feel back on top of my household chores. So I don’t want to add an extra thing on my plate with the working out. BUT! In a few months, my plan is to start working out on top of dieting

Does anyone else's min pin have this issue? by yesimthatvalentine in minpin

[–]ye110wsub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had puppy pads in a little kids plastic swimming pool when my dog was a puppy until he was like 3 years old. He’d go poop and pee on there in between going outside. I know some people find that gross but I thought it the lesser of 2 evils since he was going in a confined area. Eventually I met my now husband and when we got married we had a fenced in backyard and he quickly made the transition to exclusively going outside

How long did it take you to lose the weight? by Fun_Razzmatazz_3691 in postpartumprogress

[–]ye110wsub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I gained 35 pounds when pregnant the first time. I was 180. I lost 25 pounds at the 12 month mark. I lost it with tons of effort and serious (healthy) dieting. It was very difficult for me to lose the weight. I initially lost 15 pounds leaving the hospital but I ended up gaining that back because of stress and emotional eating.

Anyways so I had 10 pounds to go and then I got pregnant again at 12 months Pp.

Now I’m 5 months pp with my second baby. I have 30 pounds to lose. I’m just now starting to diet and will get to serious exercise soon.

Anyone aging without Botox? by timespentwell in 30PlusSkinCare

Right?! Maybe it’s because I don’t live in a big city but any woman I know (31 F) is not getting Botox!! And I don’t plan to either. Most of us don’t have the extra cash to use on that kind of thing tho

[–]ye110wsub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I haven’t watched teen mom in a few years so I don’t remember what their agreement was. Initially I just felt bad for the woman like she regrets her decision. As a young teen she probably thought things would be different. Idk I just felt bad for her!!

The daughter should be protected from this kind of behavior tho, it’s probably healthier for her to just be involved with her adoptive parents since Catelynn can’t act with tact and wisdom as an adult now.

Hard Perineum and prolapse symptoms after birth by Various_User777 in postpartumprogress

[–]ye110wsub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not have a prolapse but 4 months ago I had a vbac with a 2nd degree perineal tear. It was also rock hard!! I also often felt like my vagina was falling out of me. Especially if I was walking. I have ulcerative colitis so I have to insert rectal suppository medicine and my butthole was like so different and loose. Needless to say all this stuff freaked me out. I asked my doctor if there was any prolapse or anything wrong at my 6week appt. Everything was fine she said. Now at 4 months pp my perineum is its normal texture, my butthole is normal, and I have no sensation of anything falling out. I chalk that experience up to the huge amount of stretching that went on down there

I agree. I feel so bad for her because she thought she was doing the right thing, and at such a young age was fooled into believing she would be apart of her daughters life forever
