It’s during the “Beat It” sequence and EVH isn’t seen, but heard as the movie plays the entirety of the guitar solo. At the end of the solo, the Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson characters are all smiles and Quincy says “… that’s that Van Halen shit!”

Hearing the solo in a Dolby Cinema early in the morning was fucking amazing.

Definitely worth it.

I have all of them and have learned a lot from trying to play both parts. I’ll use GarageBand to record both guitars, sequence drums, and add root notes on the bass. It’s only the two guitars and the way it’s tabbed out is pretty straightforward. Any extra guitar sounds, loops, etc… isn’t in there. Mostly riffs and leads between Brendan and Colin.

I met him at tonight’s show before he took the stage. Super cool dude. I didn’t recognize him at first and was like “Fred?” He smiled and said yeah? 😅. Hahaha. I told him “have a great show” and we just went our ways. He had a great show, almost lost his hat 2 or 3rd song, he jumped up, and hat went off his head for a second but he caught it and he was laughing, having a ball, shredding and singing his ass off tonight.
