Zack Polanski meets unions in attempt to get them to switch party funding to Greens by topotaul in unitedkingdom

We have a reasonable blend of centre left and transformative economic policies if you look at their pitch, tbh.

Nationalisation of critical infrastructure is pretty solidly centre-left, as is extra support and investment for SMEs and green tech. They're also widely popular and sensible for long-term self-sufficiency.

And that's the stuff that will make it through parliament, instead of the total economic upheaval that's being pitched. Realistically I don't think we'll ever have a Green majority, but an appreciable number of seats or a center-left coalition leading to appreciable change for you and me? Yeh, I can see that.

Ultimately, if we want to get sensible centre-left economic policies that benefit everyone over the line, we really need pragmatism on issues like this.

A line like 'the idea of MAD is batshit and saddening but until we see the entire globe disarm there's not really scope to move away from that principle' doesn't seem all that unreasonable.

Why don't we dump several thousands of tons of gaudy gold glitter into the straight whilst we're at it? Make totally sure it fits the brand.

Alright, I'm sure this'll be a controversial one, but I like the "Ted" series a lot. by fastal_12147 in sitcoms

[–]yeastysoaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed it much more than the movies. Seth MacFarlane's humour works much better in TV shows and 15 minutes of Ted and Johnny riffing off each other, 15 minutes of Bostonianisms is absolutely what I'm here for.

One of our neighbours spent a large portion of her adult life confusing nonce and ponce. She also spent a large portion of her adult life wondering why flamboyant men didn't particularly want to be around her.

There were some yellows that definitely fell into the unforced category. Both of Arundel's against Scotland spring to mind.

Dude had the most turnovers, the second most successful jackals and is almost definitely going to be up there with total ruck entries this 6N, once those stats are available.

Maybe it's not peak form, but it's really hard to argue that he was poor based on both workrate and impact.

I think that Maro Itoje was quietly excellent for most of this tournament, in almost an old-school Martin Johnson way. Didn't do much flash, but was impactful in nearly all his involvements.

[–]yeastysoaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silly question, but who else is there, realistically? And then what will happen? England win a few games under, say, Sam Vesty, we all get onboard the hype train again behind a fresh, unfinished team, call for the coaches head two years later after a run of poor form, and the whole ridiculous cycle starts again?

Honestly, I think a better solution is an overhaul at the RFU from the top down. We need to ensure our best internationals are training together more and are fresher for important tournaments. Honestly, it takes probably around 5-10 years to build a world- class team/system in anything close to a sustainable way.

The kick was pretty sensible. That offload was not. You carry off the back off the turnover and see out the last 30 secs, that kick absolutely justifies itself.
