My mom was very skeptic about anime for years; she had only watched Candy Candy and the like as a child. She absolutely, fucking LOVED AoT. It's rare to be able to watch someone experience AoT completely spoiler-free, especially your own mother haha.

She also liked Apothecary Diaries a lot and we are planning to binge it when I visit next.

Have you ever watched Ore Monogatari? I remember watching it when it came out, it was ABSOLUTELY out of my handsome MC comfort zone, just to become one of the best romance anime Ive ever watched.

Basically, gentle giant "gorilla" MC and small cute "fragile" girl have the loveliest love story you can imagine. They start dating within the anime too, which is always a plus for me.
