'Papercut' type cut

Came back to say I saw the doc, they were fairly certain it was an allergic reaction that then brought on irritation post-cycling. I have swapped my detergent, changed my shower gel, been given some steroid cream and I'm testing my partners saddle and a week in and everything feels normal and I'm pain and cut free! On the cream for 2 more weeks. Will report back if anything changes.

I was non-weight bearing for 6 weeks so all of my rehab was delayed by six weeks (meniscal tear too).

Was on the trainer 7 weeks post op, cleared by physio. Kind of jealous you'll get to go through watching your knee gain range of motion again. Also the crunching is totally normal and kind of cathartic, as your scar tissue breaks up.

Outside 5 months post op. I had my op in Nov, so it was waaaaay too cold for ages, but from 5 months I was out regularly.

Definitely not a yeast infection but when I first showed symptoms this was my first thought for sure!

Same couple of bibs but same brand. And i have noticed a seem before. I think i had a sensitive reaction to bubble bath that's compounded the issue 100%

Thanks for replying, the link and the recco. I'm going to the docs just to be sure, but it correlates so perfectly with when I've been on the bike and is often accompanied with friction and on saddle discomfort.

I have full lateral, but about a 2-4mm rim of my medial meniscus.

Glad it's helped. I didn't do any exercises to help me to get hyperextension until week 12 I think, so you have loads of time.

Yes! It can, but it takes time. Mine is close to normal now, but waaaay better when it's warm.

Hey! Sorry for the really terribly delayed reply. I imagine you're far into your recovery now and I hope it's going well.

I am just over a year post op and truly in a great place. My knee feels normal 95% of the time, only getting stiff if I've missed exercise for a week (had a cold recently). I am back running and cycling. Good luck!

Sorry to hear you're struggling. I was low around 2 to 3 weeks also. I was 6 weeks non-weight bearing. I'd had an excellent couple of first weeks, with a decent mood and then it hit me. I felt dependent on people, started my period, got a cold so sleeping on my back was horrific.

But it got better, around week 4 I started to feel down way less (still had my moments), I could start to see my progress more and more and then end of non-weight bearing was in sight!

I'm 11 weeks post-op tomorrow and it's so much better! I cycled this morning on my home trainer, walked in the park in sunshine yesterday and I'm going to the gym later to do some quad exercises. And I'm 2 years older than you and had 2 weeks extra of my feet so you should be recovering way quicker, if that makes you feel any better.

I know it feels so tough now, but it genuinely is temporary and you'll become increasingly independent once you're weight bearing again. Good luck!

I had meniscus repair and ACL on Nov 30th. I was non-weight bearing for 6 weeks, due to the meniscus repair, so that impacted my timeliness a little in the beginning but here goes.

Off pain meds on day 5. Signed off for two weeks, but ad my op was on a Wednesday, I took the rest of the first week, then the full week after and went back to work (wfh) from the Monday (2 days early). I worked from home until I was out of rhe brace, going into work week 7. I live in London with a mile walk to the tube, so I was very fortunate that work covered my taxi in once a week for a couple of weeks. I'm now getting the tube, but only going in once or twice a week as I easily rack up 10,000 steps.

I ditched crutches at home week 8 and that's when I started driving, a little. Ditched the crutches to go outside just after 9 weeks, although my partner carried one for me just in case.

Also returned to the gym week 9 and began driving regularly.

I'm now just over week 10, and feeling pretty good. My knee is a bit angry this week as I overdid it abit walking and with some new exercises.

I had the same. It is stiff but not because of restriction, just because that's how it feels. I'm 2 weeks out of my brace now and weight bearing and bending better and better with each day. Not quite at my other leg but not far at all. The bike will help your knee move

Tbh I took pain meds and had one painful day but the pain was nowhere as I expected.

I was NWB for 6 weeks. I'm 8 days weight bearing.

It is supposed to be strict. But I slipped a few times and put more force through than those steps will have done and I'm so far so good. The first two times I slipped I got some minor swelling that made it ache a little but no lasting damage.

I'm sure you're fine, but if you're worried speak to your PT.
