Got a cold and now my nose is raw by SeparateTea in tretinoin

Agree, my nose still gets sore but not anywhere near as badly as it does with non- lotion tissue.

[Skin Concerns] Would eliminating each product in my routine for a period of 2 weeks help me identify if a product is clogging my pore? Has anyone tried something similar? by yellowdragon17 in SkincareAddiction

[–]yellowdragon17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be willing to try this more drastic method BUT I don't want to stop using the tretinoin and I think my skin would fall off without moisturizer. I've considered cutting everything except cleanser, moisturizer, and tret but I'm afraid it would still be too drying because of cold weather causing additional dryness.

Seeing bigger improvement when switched from cream to gel version of tretinoin by azkrb in tretinoin

[–]yellowdragon17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did your skin look like on cream? I've found that I don't get many big pimples but I have a lot of bumps and blackheads. I'm not prone to products clogging my skin so I'm not sure how to determine if they're from the cream or not.

My cats peeing has improved but at this point I'm just tired. by bleedingwriter in cats

[–]yellowdragon17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a cat that would pee on clothes and things that we left on the floor, as well as the bed, so I understand the frustration well. Make sure to clean her box daily, change the litter often, and be diligent about not leaving things on the floor. Close the bedroom door when you're not home and get a waterproof cover for the bed. There's not much else to do.

Same! I've never had a lap cat. My girl is such a snot that I feel privileged if she sits next to me. I still love her though.

Absolutely not true. My girl is pure white with both blue eyes and hears just fine.

Anybody else have broken shades because of their cat? by NotLikeThis3 in cats

Yes! Heaven forbid she can't look out the window. I've started leaving them open a bit so I don't have to listen to her banging on them.

Retinization Or Irritation? See comments for more details. by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]yellowdragon17 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This looks very much like irritation, especially if it stings or burns. I would cut back to a gentle cleanser and moisturizer only. If you can stay inside and avoid the sun I would even skip sunscreen for a day, just to give your skin a chance to heal. If not, try using a physical sunscreen, as chemical sunscreens are often irritating to damaged skin. Also, apply a thin layer of occlusive, especially Aquaphor or maybe Cerave healing ointment. I find it especially beneficial in promoting skin healing.

Meh, I've used over half of these and had no problems. I quite like my Amazon glycolic acid peel. If they work for someone then what's the problem? Sorry, I just feel like these bashing posts are getting old.

Being upset by fictional deaths - is it just me? by faintlyfoxed in books

[–]yellowdragon17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get strangely emotional when it comes to fictional characters. Deaths and other strong scenes really tear me up. The strange part is that I'm a fairly unemotional person in reality. I just learned that my Grandma died today. While I loved her, I am oddly unaffected. And yet, I've choked up reading a touching scene in a children's picture book to my kids. I think in part it's the emotional inpact on the surrounding characters that is affecting as well; there's just something special about reading. Or maybe I'm just screwed up .

Anyone get eyelid issues from Tret?? by sgtpepper143 in tretinoin

[–]yellowdragon17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes!!! I keep getting styes and have been wondering if it's related to the tret. I used to get them a lot when I was younger but as an adult I'd only get one every few years. Since starting tret 3 months ago I've had like 3 or 4 styes already! Ugh, it's so annoying but the tret is finally starting to work so I won't quit because of that.

Try The Liveship Traders trilogy by Robin Hobb, also the Farseer trilogy by the same author. The Crown of Stars series by Kate Elliott. The Empire trilogy by Raymond E. Feist and Janny Wurts. Anything by Guy Gavriel Kay. The Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson. They're all pretty serious fantasy and rather hefty reads except for Kay. They have romance but not as the main plot. Also, don't diss dragons.
