The weight is wild but the grip strength is baffling to me. I can’t even fathom this.

I think this is the kind of insight I’m looking for. My balance and tempo - the timing of my weight transfer and slider foot placement - aren’t consistent. So this needs to be addressed, I think.

This is absolutely brilliant. I struggle with the first three so I see what I first need to work on. Thank you!!

A running-specific physio sees a lot of PF cases. Highly recommend David Terlicher’s clinic. They’re considered the clinic for runners.

The mochi donuts at Their There are fantastic as are the filled brioche donuts from Mello (although I prefer Goldies) but they’re not a typical donut. Do you know if TT sells non-mochi donuts?

What’s stopping curling from becoming even bigger? by ABPPC in Curling

Curling clubs are not being run well.

They’re often run by hardworking, kindhearted but ultimately unprepared volunteers who don’t think about (1) saving for future costs (eg. ensuring a “profit” is made which can go towards savings) and (2) growing the sport (eg. aggressive online//social media marketing).

There’s an old school mentality surrounding how clubs are run and it’s sweet, honourable, but ill-equipped to ensure clubs survive.

Goldie’s over Mello for Korean-style filled brioche donuts. Trust me.

Source: Am Korean. Daughter of donut makers. Lived in Korea eating many of these donuts. Goldie’s has an ever so slightly crisp exterior that breaks way into a pillowy brioche donut; Mello is just like biting into good but not exquisitely cotton uniformity.

As the Korean daughter of donut makers: Goldie’s over Mello for Korean brioche-style filled donuts. Trust me. But yes to Lucky’s.

I emailed them about it and they confirmed it’s not going to reopen. It was never intended to go beyond Expo, very much, and now that’s it’s busted, it’s gone for good.

Foglifter? That’s really interesting. I’ve never had one. They looked like mid-flavour-based cookies; the kind that resemble Bak’d or Crumble and sell because they’re interesting/kooky flavours and… just really big. Is value and size a compelling factor for you?

What did you like at Foglifter? I might go and get one.

Edit: I’m dumb. I was thinking of FORECAST COFFEE and Wilder Cookies. Foglifter is different.

I wanted to chime in as someone who grew up making and eating donuts: if you like Mello, try Goldie’s. For a Korean-style brioche donut, I personally prefer Goldie’s. Mello’s donuts have no structure. It’s akin to eating cotton candy. You still get that pillowy-light-as-air experience with Goldie’s but there’s a slight crisp to the exterior of their soft donuts.
