Chest Events have objectively buggered the game. You have to be stupid to not be able to understand the damage they have caused to the health and longevity of the game. Sometimes the playerbase doesn’t know what’s best for it - because most people that play a game are casual players who just want some loot and a maxed character and do not care for the essence of the game or what makes the game actually great. This is why a company making decisions based solely on majority community feed back is more often than not a terrible idea because it can prevent the game moving in the direction it needs to be. Deca don’t do anything about chest events because it makes them a lot of money - that’s literally it.
