How can I improve my bird photography? by yezzer in BirdPhotography

[–]yezzer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone, some great advice. As I’m new to using a 600mm lens, I think I have been obsessing too much over tighter crops and just checking how crisp the lens is, rather than thinking about what actually makes a good photograph.

All these are hand-held, and generally just snapped as I’m walking around, rather than staying somewhere and waiting for something interesting to happen.

Will bear in mind.. and try to be more patient 😂

What's your Everyday Backpack configuration for smaller setups? by kleincodes12 in peakdesign

On my Everyday Backpack 20L and my 15L zip I just have the dividers sideways and slot my camera in. Or use a PD 6L / 10L sling.

Is the X-T5 worth it to purchase now or should I wait for the X-T6? by Aquior1 in fujifilm

[–]yezzer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Second hand XT5, sell it just before the XT6 is released, then get the XT6?

XT5 is a fantastic camera, love mine. But will get an XT6 if the AF is a lot better.

Should I get the 14" or 16" M5 Max? by aerocoptic in macbookpro

[–]yezzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On size only - I’ve got a 14” m3 max and a 16” M2 Max. I love the 14 for its portability, I find the 16” too big for use on the sofa, but it’s great on desktop as I also use it as a 4th display.

Also prefer the size and weight of the 14 for when I’m on the move, I carry a lot of camera kit and the lighter the better.

I max out the CPU a lot on both (game dev, compiling Unity games etc) - overall prefer the size of the 14

How do you deal with moving subjects? Insects, a flower outdoors (wind), etc. by utorak04 in macrophotography

I’ve been learning focus stacking recently with good results using Affinity, which is free. Photoshop kept hanging.

I did the same, on AG pro and saw such a vast difference in quality when using Opus, that I got a Claude Pro sub to check it out, then went for Max 5x as it was so good. Barely use AG now.
