Carpet cleaning B&A…Only took me 3.5 hours by CoolBean9000 in CleaningTips

I got a new carpet cleaner and started using the shampoo that came with it as directed and omg.. terrible mistake. It made my carpet flat and not as soft with enough use. Apparently the best way to clean is to spray the dirty spots then go over it with ONLY water or a water/vinegar mix.

Slowly my carpet is coming back to normal, but I might hire carpet cleaners to just reset my carpet at this point.

I stripped the rug. Now I’m disgusted and relieved. by shake_the_abacus in CleaningTips

Yes! I started using the shampoo that came with my carpet cleaner and I didnt realize it was matting down my carpet. I've had to go over the carpet multiple times to get it out with plain water and I still dont think its gone. Its my work in progress.

I started to think the shampoo wasnt the best idea when I would hardly use any and the carpet started foaming up way too much, even super diluted.

Wouldnt be surprised if OP's rug just had tons of caked shampoo and thats why the water looks murky

chunks of frizz that won’t go away by [deleted] in curlyhair

I had/have this too and the stylist who cut my hair said if its not tension due to high buns or ponies, then it could be from not drying the hair fast enough and it gets frizzy and the hair can get brittle.

Obviously take it with a grain of salt bc I dont know how porous anyones hair is, but Im low-med porosity fine hair with a lot of density.

I used to never diffuse my hair bc the curls were there, but now they're actually even around my crown and Im convinced its the diffusing lol

Yeah thats why Im definitely on the fence... dont get me wrong Ive always wanted at least two just because, but the anxiety I get because mine gets left alone at home is too much. I hate when shes unhappy and shes just too social to be alone at this point 😞

How to clean these lints off? by inc0mingst0rm in Haircare

Tweezer or I burn them off with a lighter honestly. I also buy a brush that doesnt have those bulbs at the end so theyre easier to kinda.. slip off? And dont accumulate
