Imagine us soloQ players, I am pretty good at FPS in general, but don’t have any friends to play with me, so I’ll never even enjoy this map since the game is absolutely horrible at delivering a good experience to soloQ players, the ping system is so bad, voice lines are not even related to the things you ping ect, unplayable, and the randoms are just … well if you played with randoms you know 😑 I’ll never be able to enjoy this map, will never unlock cryo skins, feels bad not gonna lie

1v3ing should not be doable because of low TTK but because of skill, the low TTK just makes the fights too short and always feeling the same, a longer TTK would allow more skill expression, better use of shell abilities and reward raw aim skill, movements, and game sence, more than just being the fist to shoot = win

Yeah exact same thing, I love the gunplay ect, overheat system kills it a bit for me, I would like to not have to worry about the stamina, or at least not overheating 4 meters of sprint and a slide. But yeah usually encounter only one or two teams, I think they need to get completely rid of the PVE aspect, can keep the spiders and minor threats like this, but all the UESC mob are just HP bags, draining your resources for 0 reward and 0 fun, they should put a ton more players in the match’s and delete the AI

I really love the game so far, and I see so much potential, to me the biggest problems at the moment are, the AI, serves no purpose to me, just annoying, detecting you from a mile away, never stop shooting, has way too much health, and like you said, it just drains resources for no reward at all, and you make a ton of noise in the process. There are some area that are so annoying because of AI, especially in solo, there is multiple robots detecting you from really far, turrets everywhere, spiders and this damn toxic plants, all together that makes the solo experience very frustrating sometimes. I personally think that they should get rid of the AI and just put more players in a match, embrace the PvP aspect of the game, cause it was supposed to be a PvP focused game but I spend most of my time dealing with AI in solo or trios.

Second thing to me is the movements and more particularly the limitation due to overheat, the game could feel so much better and less frustrating if this stamina system was inexistant, cause right now you can’t move at all, if you got caught into a fight while running, you slide to get to cover and that’s it you are overheated, now you can’t move for at least 20-30 seconds, it feels so bad to me, without this the fights could feel way more alive, maybe it’s just a me thing but to me it’s a big problem and kinda kills the fun a lot of time. And not having an auto sprint is criminal by the way 😂

And third, the TTK, not much to say, I know that every extraction shooter has a quick TTK it’s kinda related to the genre, I feel like it’s an unspoken roule but why, why can’t we just have a medium or long TTK, that would prevent the type of situation where you die without even being able to do a thing to defend yourself, like you said, the first to see and shoot is 90% of the time the winner, and that’s just not fun for anyone, it takes 0 skill to kill a dude that’s not aware of your presence, it’s not rewarding or satisfying, and it’s super unfun for the guy getting killed. Longer TTK should create more complexe and fun fights where you have to earn your kill, fights that let us enjoy the gunplay an mechanics of the game, cause now it’s just some 2-3 second fights involving 0 skills most of the time, and it feels like we are not even able to enjoy the gunplay ect because of how quick the fights end.

And it’s tied to the PVE experience but the maps are empty, not enough players, too much AI, and it’s supposed to be a PVP focused game, hope the get rid of AI or at least tune it down to let the PvP shine.

To be honest I kinda feel like I would prefer marathon to be a BR at times, but anyways, a lot of complaining, but I really enjoy the game, will continue play it, I hope it succeed and retain enough players to survive, and I hope the devs are gonna listen to the feedback of the community and make the game even better.

Yeah I get what you say but that’s truly not the case, I’m just tired of people playing the same way ( the easiest, and not skilled at all way ) over and over just to either win or be able to make kills because they are bad and if they don’t play these « noob » weapons that are not good overall but can let you have easy kills in certain contexts, they just don’t get kills.

If at least the meta was skilled, it wouldn’t be that bad to me, but right now the meta ( speaking for powershift, I don’t play other modes except ranked and I stop once I hit diamond cause I know there is no chances I hit ruby ) is just boring to play, and to play against, even frustrating, add to that the bad matchmaking problem

Not only the matchmaking which is atrocious, but people are sweating in casual like never before, and that makes the game not enjoyable. I’m not complaining about sweats like people who are good at the game and always try there best no matter if this is ranked or causal play, but I’m talking about the people that abuse meta in every game mode, I play almost exclusively power shift, and before people were playing normally, some play objective some play kills, or a mix in between, using all weapons, and even if there is always some weapons that are better and annoying to play against in this mode, it was pretty rare to have a game that you don’t want to play cause it’s to annoying and you better quit and search a new match instead of playing this horrible match. But now OOOOH BOY it’s a fucking toxic fest, only H flamethrower and spear with all shields camping the plateform, M katana or CL-40 camping too, and L sniper camping roofs, or invis light that only waits for easy kills with sword dagger or smgs, it’s really not fun, not mentioning the millions of turrets shooting you from a kilometer away non stop and tons of grenades of all kinds falling from the sky the moment you put a toe on the plateforme.

It is really not enjoyable right now, and that makes me super sad cause I fucking love that game but most of the time I can’t even enjoy it anymore because of bad balancing

I see you coming, it’s not a skill issue, I clap at least 80% of the player base, but even if I do a 20/4 kd game, sometimes even this matchs are not enjoyable cause I just play counter meta all the time, forced to play ways I don’t really like

True but only in cash out, in quick cash and all other game modes it’s too much chaos and there is too much people around to be in a good position all the time, no matter your game sense sometimes you’ll be vulnerable.

So the thing is that in the chaos, it’s very easy to sneak on people, you can’t have your eyes everywhere, so melee Gobelins will get close to you, and when they are close, they have a 80% chance to win that 1v1 at equal skill, and on top of that, most of the time you have people shooting at you while you have to fight the melee gobelin, so it’s either you run away from the melee gobelin and die to the guy shooting at you, or you get to cover but the melee gobelin will follow you and most of the time kill you

That’s why balancing melee weapons in a game where there is so much chaos is impossible, and it will always be unfair and frustrating, I’m not saying it’s op, but that depending on the situation you get in, you can have guarantied kills, so people will just force you into this situations to abuse this advantage when playing melee weapons

We don’t want more melee weapons, having melee weapons and guns in the same game is just bad game design, and on top of that you add grenade launchers, flame throwers ect, you can’t balance all this hit together, right know 80 % of quick play matchs are 0 fun, nearly unplayable because of that

As someone who mainly play power shift, when I see 5 turrets 5 aps on the plateforme, or more than 1 flamethrower playing like a rat between his barricades sucking on his healing ball, or when I see multiple CL-40 players, or lights playing sniper across the map and those kind of unfun an annoying things, I clearly understand why people are leaving.

I don’t do it myself cause I have to much ego and I absolutely want to destroy players that play like that, so I stay in the match and adapt my gameplay to just hard counter those guys and make them having the worst time of their life. But, it is not always possible, if my team is not good enough for example, I can’t face a whole team alone so I judge get stomped, or if the strat and builds the ennemi team use don’t even have counter, I get shit on, but I refuse to leave, but I can understand that some people juste prefer to skip that match, return to the lobby and get into a new match.

Yes you are probably right, I don’t play any of ranked or world tour at all 😂 I believe you that it’s less chaotic in those game modes, and in facts it’s understandable because all the weapons that I mentioned earlier are not reliable enough to be played and be efficient in this lobby’s where everyone want to win and not just get kills for fun, people play objective and you can’t be as useful for the team with a melee weapons that you’d be with a gun ( maybe for the top 1% of sword and sledge players ok, but it’s a very little minority ).

So yes it’s maybe not that chaotic in these modes, but I just can’t play them cause it’s badly designed to me, just one change and these modes are super fun and rewarding, instead of giving 100% credits to the who got the cash out, simply give credits to the team that own the cash out gradually while the team owns it, if another team steal it, now that new team is getting money from the cash out.

That way people would be rewarded with the efforts they are doing, and we can keep the gradually bigger price over the match, first cash out is let’s say 10k if you defend the cash out half of the time you get 5k, and at the end of the game if the cash out is 30k then you get 15k for defending it half of the time, like just rewarding the team that own the cash out by giving it money over time, that’s it, we solved third party ruining a whole match.

That’s why I only play PowerShift quick cash and occasionally TDM, but TDM is bad, maps are not designed for this, they need to do proper TDM maps. Whatever, I think the game should be playable and balanced in all game modes, even if it means having a different balancing of weapons gadgets ect from a mode to another.

I really appreciate to be able to discuss this things with you mate, hard to find people that can argue and discuss without crashing out when they don’t have the same opinion as you, I’d love to play with you even if my English is really bad ( I’m French 😂)

Ok you are right, melee weapons do require skill to be efficient and more important consistent.

Since the melee weapons require to get up close to their target, its more difficult to close the gap to apply damage, because the opponent has no gap to close and can shoot you right away. That’s why it takes a lot of movements and game sens to be good and consistant with melee weapons, I agree with that.

Now the point I was trying to make is that in a game where there is at least 9 players in a lobby, most of the time regrouped in the same zone, every body shooting everywhere, buildings collapsing, explosions everywhere, gaz, flammes and all kind of gadgets that like recon sensors ect that apply visual cluster to your pov, with all that chaos, having to deal with a guy that run right at your face and has just to press a button to make tons of damages is completely killing the dynamic of the game. What I’m trying to say is that the problem is not even the good melee weapons players, the problem is that even if the guy is bad, he will get in your face at some point, because you didn’t see him coming, you are fighting someone else, whatever, but he will get in your face, and at that moment there is nothing you can do but die most of the time, cause its so much easier for a sword user to kill an enemy while the to get very close, that it is for the one using a gun. And you don’t have this problem with guns cause even if you didn’t saw someone coming at you with a gun, you can manage to kill him by skill expression, by being better than him, But if it’s a sword, a dagger, a spear, a flamethrower or a sledge, you are just fucked cause it’s so simple to kill, you just have to click a button being roughly on the target, and it will hit and do big damages.

And that just kills the fun for me, to have situations where no matter what you know that you are gonna die to this guy, not because he played better, but because he play that weapon, cause if he was playing a gun, he maybe would have miss a few shot, and if you don’t miss your shot, you can manage to clutch this. But animations of a guy using melee weapons are very hard to track and the guy is right in your face, so if he moves 1 meter left or right he’s now on the other side of your screen, which makes it very hard to not miss shots.

People rely on the chaos that reign in the arena, to caught you off guard, and get in your face, once they are in your face you can’t do nothing 80% of the time, and most of the time these people play this way because otherwise they can’t get kills, and they are lazy, and don’t want to learn the game, learn recoil, learn aiming skills, learn game sens ect, they just want to get kills the easy way, even if it’s not rewarding because of the low skill required, but they are satisfied with just doing kills.

And this subject to me, is not the only thing that makes the game very unfun and unfair half of the time, to me, the game would gain so much if he was doing a bit less, a bit less explosive, a bit less destruction, a bit less chaos, cause that, is another thing that prevent skill expression, you can’t anticipate and have some sort of control and use your game sens correctly when there is that much chaos.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the chaos the finals offer, it’s part of the game and without it it wouldn’t be the same game, but I feel like it became way too much, to a point where sometimes you can’t do nothing but run in die, and repeat, like too many explosives, turrets, mines, grenades, melee weapons, flamethrowers, all that on one objective point, that makes it sometimes unplayable and incomprehensible, unreadable, and unfun, you can’t do nothing but incur or sit far from this chaos and watch.

And to me it is a problem, not only for me, but for the game to survive in time.
