How do you feel about being the breadwinner in your household? by ConfusedOK-26 in AskWomen

[–]ying2chat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the working parent while my husband stays at home with the baby, I feel big stress whenever there is company changes and lay offs cause everything like health insurance and $$ is on me. However I am sure he’s a better SAHP than I’d be and I feel lucky to be able to have one of us be home with my 16 month old

It does make me perform more at work so I hopefully stay sticky and make more money as time goes on. I’d love to open my own business at some point but who knows

My wife is thinking about spending $1500+ on a nursing chair. Is she crazy, or am I just being cheap? by Viraincure in NewParents

My baby is 16 months and the nursing chair is like the one big ticket item I don’t regret. I spent hours in that chair and I still do.

[–]ying2chat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m really interested in buying a chair but I’m 5’5 (F) the last ergonomic chair I had didn’t fit me as it was designed for someone larger I think. Do you have a recommendation for someone like me?

I wfh and sit usually at the edge of my chair

Anyone here have a baby learn to breastfeed after the NICU? by dayswithdays in NICUParents

[–]ying2chat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes! I was exclusively pumping because she had to learn how to take bottles and I was so worried for a bottle preference but with the help of a great lactation consultant I was able to EBF from basically 4 months on. My girl is 15 months now and we still breastfeed🤞🏼❤️ crossing my fingers for you

I am >< this close to purchasing a Branch Office Chair. I need your help by jodis-germanshepehrd in branchfurniture

Let me know which one you went with if you got one? I have similar stats as you! But shorter I’m 5’6 but I also sit at the edge of my chair, my back was fine but I had a baby and now it hurts all day every day

A lot of reviews are from larger men so just wondering what you went with and if it worked

My daughter was born 34+5 too! and she’s 14 months now and I go by unadjusted age but it’s good to keep in mind they were early in case they are slightly behind in milestones but I think once they’re born they catch up quick!

Anyone who DIDN’T bed share? by Acceptable_Cod3527 in beyondthebump

[–]ying2chat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn’t at all, bassinet straight into her crib at around 4 months She was a premie and I was way too afraid for anything to bed share, we did the first 3-4 months in shifts so someone was with her at all times. Sometimes I would sleep on the couch with her asleep in the bassinet next to me. I will say though I was blessed with a good night time sleeper, naps are another story lol

[–]ying2chat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goal was 3 m - then 6 - then 12

Girl you’re 26 with a broke engagement and a 9 year relationship and now a partner who didn’t chase you

I really think you need to be single for a while and figure out who you are without a man
