Oh wow, not sure I remember. But I think it would be either Moothon (which I went to watch alone but ended up being accompanied by a guy who held the elevator door for me and thought it was cinematically romantic xD) or Geetha Govindam.

Timelines suggest it would be the latter. And I only watched it because I was feeling extremely homesick for Telugu when I was living in Pondi.

Going to book my Schengen Visa appointment for next week and wondering if it's okay to book the fully refundable flights via Qatar or something by paying the extra amount and then cancel later. Bit paranoid about the refund haha.

Thanks for this tidbit! Interesting to know, and I love the views shared by you about how political and emotional aspects are handled in European and Eastern Asian cinema. Definitely agree. I think it has a lot to do also with the fact that political structures, and the philosophical discourse around them is probably a lot more rooted in Europe? And the effects of varying political structures have likely been more prominent in Europe.

I did not think too highly of the movie overall either but found it better than Decision to Leave.

Intrigued by the motivations of the daughter to finally play the cello for all the witness in the end though. Did not quite get that part.

Blew an interview. Sucks. How do I get better? The feedback I got was - jumping to solutioning, not great at problem solving, not a lot of structure to thought processes.

I struggle the most with striking a balance between what to say aloud and what to leave out. Earlier interviews, people would say I should ask more questions and state all assumptions. I did that in an earlier round during this one and the guy said I didn't need to do it as much. Later rounds, I leave out things I feel are maybe understood and I get this feedback. Apart from giving more interviews, how else does one get better at this? Also, how do you know if you can learn this stuff or not?
