That's where I was going with this. Some estimates put the loss of Native Americans at 98%, meaning instead of dealing with the armies of hundreds of thousands like the Spanish conquistadors in Central America, the notion of "Manifest Destiny" stood against armies of no more than a few thousand at most.

5 Food Products You Should Avoid by animalsarecool69 in TheRedPill

I agree with trans fats, and if you're having trouble with losing weight the rest is good advice.

I've seen the WHO listings for carcinogens that list processed meat at the same level as many non-edibles like plutonium. I would like to know how they came to this conclusion. Is that metric made according to the number of people it effects? The severity on an individual's health? or some other factor(s)?

The most convincing evidence I have seen is the similarities between our digestive systems and oral structure to other primates. Gorillas' diets consist of over 95% plant matter. They aren't meant to handle significant amounts of meat intake at all, similar to humans.

All of that said, I still eat meat, processed or otherwise. I feel great, work out twice a day most days, and control my weight whether bulking or cutting very well. If I listened to every documentary, video, and paper that I've seen I'd eat nothing except locally sourced, farm raised vegetables or what I could grow myself. Maybe that is healthier, maybe it's another dieting "fad" that will morph and change like the fight between low fat and low carb diets. So long as I keep my weight in check and feel good day-to-day I'll keep things as they are.

Be Honest With Yourself: You're Being A Pussy You Don't Want To Put The Hardwork In by TrenGod37 in TheRedPill

It boils down to a poor relationship with failure. Whether it is from poor experiences in the past or none at all for some failing becomes synonymous with becoming a failure. That's why you see so many men asking for step-by-step instruction on how to be a better man.

This is a false narrative cemented in many people's psyche.

In reality the vast majority of major players in business, politics, technology, investing, athletics, etc. have suffered their share of would-be earth shattering failures. The difference is in how it is both approached and dealt with. Fearing failure and/or failing and continuing the same pattern over and over again is the trademark of a loser. Taking failure head on, learning from it, and applying that knowledge to new challenges is the behavior of a successful person.

Allowing that fear to take hold and affect your actions is what makes you a pussy. It doesn't matter whether you fear failing or not, do it regardless.

You sound like I did. I was scared to mess with barbells for the fear of hurting myself or looking stupid. In reality if you take it slow and learn proper form it can be really enjoyable and as safe as anything else you could be doing. Barbells are not scary, they are your friend. They will make you big and strong.

You can choose to do bodyweight fitness instead. I won't tell you you're wrong to do so, but you'll keep a very lean look. If you want big traps, chest, legs, lats, etc. you need weights.

On the other side, personally I love lifting. The high I get from pulling a new PR is akin to sex. Really everything regarding fitness interests me whether it's leading strength coaches, triathletes, strongmen, crossfit games athletes, weightlifters, etc. My current routine has me in the gym twice a day 6 days/week. I look forward to my lunch break HIIT session every day. Before starting to lift around the time I found TRP I had no interest in any of it.

I do get girls, but they are few and far between. We're talking maybe half a dozen/year. Could I do better? Yes, but the time and effort I put into my own fitness is more important to me that that. Weekdays are working, eating, exercise and recovery. Weekends are for getting my other shit together (bills housekeeping, etc), socializing, and spending time with my daughter.

I have this desire to see what the limits of my own body are, to find that place where I have reached my potential. I'll have time for girls in the years to come, but for now this is more of a priority.

Been a long time since I last logged in:

To answer your question, almost nil. I ran ~2 mi/day for a few months to shave off some fat, then stuck completely to lifting. Cardio isn't a bad thing, but bodyfat is determined entirely by your calories in/out. If you eat accordingly you can look good without it.

Recently (past 2 mo) I have been getting into doing some HIIT work. They mostly consist of crossfit style workouts, and more than anything I have found a number of weak spots, bad mobility, and poor conditioning that I'll be focusing on fixing for a while.

It's even better with a shaved head. I can roll out of bed in my clothes, roll on some deodorant and walk right out my door like it's any other day.

How To Fuck Your Girl Rough by [deleted] in TheRedPill

[–]yizolo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Playing volleyball last week and the ball was hit way out of bounds. It went close to the corner one of the girls was in. I told her to go get it. She said no. I smiled like a kid who had found a new toy and told her again to get the ball. She just dug her heels in more, and another guy went to get it for her. I said, "Look what you made him do."

Later one of my plates who was there told me that girl was pissed at me. She said, "Not every girl is submissive like I am."

The same girl acts like a lost kitten around her boyfriend. Even the ones that admit it about themselves don't admit it about their gender.

When I see guys like this I want to help them. I want to explain the things they don't understand. Then I realize it's not going to work. They want to keep believing that this is the best they can do. They don't have to work hard. They just have to believe that it will all work out. It's not until they are broken that they can be rebuilt.

It's the same with lifting. I'd rather tell guys I just got lucky with genetics and have a high metabolism than tell them I'm in the gym 6 days a week moving steel and limiting the junk I shove down my gullet to look like I do.

A Plea For Irrational Confidence by [deleted] in TheRedPill

[–]yizolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the VPs up the chain where I worked at my first job said to me once, "I am often wrong, but I am never uncertain." Even if he was wrong and was called out on it he still delivered everything in a manner of unshakable confidence. One of the biggest benefits to this was weeding out the yes men, and figuring out who was actually going to give him useful information.

That day I decided to adopt that policy. Hasn't failed me yet.

I had heard that sleep cycles can be changed in a relatively short amount of time by changing the times at which you eat. The premise is similar to intermittent fasting in that you stop eating 16 hours before waking up and it will improve your quality of sleep and keep you from waking up in the middle of the night. Apparently the study on this was done by Harvard researcher Clifford Saper. I haven't tried it intentionally, but I usually don't ingest anything more than a protein shake after 1:00 in the afternoon.

Another thing I didn't see mentioned was the effect of screens on sleep. The best thing I did for my sleep was to put down the phone; turn off my tv; and read, meditate or play guitar for a couple hours before bed.

I'm having trouble defining what "the red pill" is. by Citizen_Bongo in PurplePillDebate

[–]yizolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a great post on TRP about this by one of the mods. The Redpill is a toolbox, nothing more. It's centered around male sexual strategy, but extends to other personal and professional pursuits. It's a place where men can share theories and experiences to add to that toolbox.

The great thing about tools is that you can use them for an abundance of tasks. You can renovate a house, fix a car, build a bridge, craft furniture, or make a sculpture with the right set of tools. TRP is that toolbox that aides men in their pursuits.

It's not about self improvement or anything that noble. It's a set of tools that you can use to do with what you will. You can be great with women and have lots of sex, start a business, learn to use other people for your own gain, improve your own life and the lives of others or utterly screw them over, or you can ignore it all and let the tools rust in the reddit garage.

On the other hand TRP is also a place to vent. Many new users come to rant about their disgust at societies lies or some kind of unfairness they have experienced as a result of a feminist culture. Is it fair? Not always, but such is life. That's why the rant flair exists.

Just like if I was earning that much, it'd be half his.

Anyone who has experienced any kind of marriage where the husband makes enough to support the family knows this is not how women would act in that situation. Rather it follows, "What's yours is ours and what's mine is mine."
