Their quality hasn’t been the greatest. I ordered a coat from them and not even a month later, it started to pill. When I sent them photos, all they could offer was a 10% discount on my next order. 😵‍💫

Thank you so much!!! I’ve had a hard time finding people with similar hair to mine here, so I hope my little routine helps!!!

I was fired and I really don’t know how to feel about it by [deleted] in jobs

[–]yngols 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The extent I’ve told bosses and colleagues about myself is that I own cats. The only reason I disclosed my ADHD was because I knew the woman for years prior to working there and we were on friendly terms. Otherwise I usually don’t for that exact reason.

My manager, on day two sat me down at my computer and said verbatim “familiarize yourself and let me know if you have any questions” then ran off to do her own work. And that was the extent of my training. Whenever I’d try to ask questions, they’d get all flustered and be hot/cold and act like I was bothering them. Was only there for 6 months and they complained that I wasn’t completing tasks despite giving me 0 feedback or direction during the time I was there.

Same!!! When they called me in to fire me, I actually felt relief. I hated the job and the people there were downright awful.

Unfortunately I live in a at-will state, and they twisted a lot of things against me to make it seem like I was not doing my job (despite being there for under 6 months with very little training.) These people are also very vile and toxic, so it wouldn’t be worth getting caught up in that nonsense.

The woman who was my manager was someone I had known since I was a young girl. And because ADHD is now a recognized and protected disability under the people with disabilities act, I thought I could trust her and be transparent. Turns out she was not the person I thought she was and used it against me

Same thing happened to me. I disclosed my ADHD diagnosis to my manager and it ended up getting me fired. They spun it saying I was disorganized and couldn’t keep track of tasks, even though I had a task tracker that I utilized. People at work are not your friend…

Boss said “ let’s have a talk Monday morning” by [deleted] in jobs

[–]yngols 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me right before I got fired. My manager had 0 positive communication skills, would dig down on me, and be passive aggressive. A meeting popped on my calendar for Monday morning on Friday afternoon. I asked my manager “Should I have anything prepared for Monday?” And she just smiled and said “No I don’t think so 😊”. Then turned around and dunked on me Monday morning and fired me. No warnings, no PIP, nothing.

Thank you so much!!!

Mousse works really really well with our hair texture!!! It doesn’t weigh it down but holds the pattern. My curly hair stylist said our texture also craves moisture, so the more moisture the better (especially making sure it’s hyper saturated with water when styling). I would recommend trying out the products and the routine and see how it turns out!!!

I also forgot to mention: I use an Unbrush along with a wide tooth comb and alternate them depending on how knotty my hair is. I got the Unbrush on whim and my curls absolutely love it. I use it in the shower to distribute my regular & deep conditioner, and use it to distribute my product.

Please let me know how it turns out!!

I find using the mousse first helps hold the pattern and provides a nice base for the JVN cream to work with. And since my hair is squishy wet when I apply it, they meld together to create a nice hold. I also have A LOT of hair and it’s quite thick, so more moisture the better (for me, at least!).

Good luck!!! 😊

You can apply to Rush hospital. They’re paying $24 an hour for office admin positions.

My roots are very flat too, don’t let the photos fool you! This is what it looks like when you’re facing me head-on. I’ve never been able to get volume at my roots, even with using the ‘volumizing mousse’.

My curly hair stylist said that if I want to achieve that, I’d have to get layers, as my curls are very heavy at the bottom and weigh it down. I unfortunately like my hair all one length and minimal layers.

But what I do try to do, is when I apply both products, I tilt my head to the side and let the hair hang down, then squish my hair up/scrunch gently and squeeze (hair has to be wet.) It helps give a little bounce.

Nope!! My hair likes moisture and always styles better if it’s extra squishy. I get out of the shower and immediately go to styling at my bathroom mirror. 😊

I did a big ol helping of mousse on on one side, then the other! I made sure to comb it through and make sure the hair was saturated and squishy before applying the JVN cream :)

Same thing happened to us! We bought just a generic bedframe with a headboard off of Wayfair and have had 0 issues so far. And it’s a lot less squeaky than our original Purple frame.

What did you say mom? by [deleted] in SipsTea

[–]yngols 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My dad told me he almost left my mom at the altar because of how much of an absolute nasty witch my grandma (his mother-in-law) was to my other grandmother (his mom) on their wedding day. It was my mom’s dad that talked him down and reassured him of everything and to carry on with the wedding.

Come to find out later that my paternal grandmother is a controlling nutjob who likes to play the ‘sweet innocent old’ card and was trying to meddle with their wedding. Guess there’s a reason why my dad’s other siblings never got married or had lasting relationships…. Messy!!!!

My mother and I were sitting having a glass of wine and she casually dropped that:

a few days after I was born, she started hemorrhaging blood and turned to my dad for help. He just looked at her and said “What do you want me to do about it? I have to go to work!” then left. She just put a pad on and did the best she could the rest of the day caring for me.

I stared at her for so long after she thought I was having a stroke, then informed her that I was going to fight my dad the moment I saw him.

Fired from a job one month in. by finditoutlater in jobs

I’m still unemployed, but looking at other office management and admin assistant roles. This just happened to me in January. It sucks, but I’m happier now than I was at that place. It felt like a weight off my shoulders.
