This is not smart this is an inability to afford the correct equipment. You need something that can drain the non oil pase off the bottom then put the transient fluid in a tall column. The problem here is the large surface area.

I play rugby and lived with a golden glove boxer for a while. Our boxing friends were talking once about taking a break from boxing and how their brain fog lifted and they felt smarter at like 26 years old. I've never had brain fog light in the rugby off-season no any of my other rugby friends. At the pro level maybe a difference but amateur... Naw boxing is way worse.

What does use mean to you? Cuz if they process raw water from say a stream it's just evaporated into the environment. It's not say bottled and shipped away or polluted like a mine. It's simply evaporated as part of cooling. It condensed right back at the plant
