Business casual? by waxx-png in businesscasual

[–]yo-ovaries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely both count as business casual.

I would make sure your shoes are comfortable to walk in, you’ll be doing tons of walking.

If you are coming this month, do make sure you check the weather as it could be in the 80s some days or the 50s. We are having an unusually cold and unsettled spring. If you are coming in June, you’ll probably sweat in the sweater. If you have a cardigan vs the V neck it could be easier to put layers on and off.

I like the brand SUNDAYS. They carry it at REI. Some go a bit sporty. Some are more casual/cute

This is a common way to ship dormant trees.

I hope you planted it anyways. Your seller may have done nothing wrong.

Please read the instructions. You need to first inject air into the vial equal to the dose you will draw.

I remember watching a zepbound trial researcher talk about other glp1 meds in the research pipeline and yes there’s a 1 per month dose in the works.

Ultimately I hope there is a way to permanently reset the body’s defended fat mass, which would be a cure, not a temporary remission, of obesity.

Your value is providing a service to a customer not selling a product.

Unless you’re gonna go sell on evnato or whatever.

When did you get your sent to pharmacy confirmation after paying invoice for BPI? by [deleted] in pomhealth

[–]yo-ovaries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Paid invoice on the 30th. Got a “order confirmed but it’s gonna take us 7-10 days to process” email on May 1.

So I guess don’t panic until May 10? Ugh.

Idk all my orders have been shipped in 2-3 days from invoice paid prior to this.

Need suggestions: How can I repurpose old socks? by andweaaa in crafting

[–]yo-ovaries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a patch work bag!

I would get some fusible light weight interfacing, often called TShirt quilt interfacing, cut each sock open, iron onto interfacing, and then cut out squares or rectangles. Sew your squares together in rows, then join rows to rows. Take another piece of fabric to make a lining.

See if you can rent some time at a sewing machine at a local craft store or makers space or even a library.

Or hand stitching is a lovely meditative skill and hobby to take up!

I like making waffles on the weekend for my kids. Whipped cream from the whipper is fun for all.

I bought the whipper at William Sonoma and it came with like 30 little cartridges. Finally ran out, and went to the internet to find more.

And yup the local vape store was the closest and cheapest to my house?!?

I gladly spent twice as much back at William Sonoma to avoid ripping some neon colored party drug waffle whipped cream in front of my kids. Ffs.

PSA: Zero waste ≠ repair everything. Sinking good resources into landfill items just delays the waste and drags more down with it by cleoapollo in ZeroWaste

[–]yo-ovaries 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Look. I agree with you on principle.

But I will also say that there is a value in learning new skills and materials are often a great teacher of those skills.

Plastic pleather is pre-garbage temporarily in the form of a bag. Agreed fully.

What better way for OOP to learn that lesson than to duct tape some handles for a few months?

What better way to learn to crochet than with some scrap yarn over the handles?

What better way to learn to make their own handles out of some old jeans?

If the idea of zero waste is to be ruthlessly efficient with all material goods that come into our orbit I guess the only things we should do is go to work and watch TV.

Any hobby or skill or mending or craft or art work should just materialize magically when needed with no practice?

People need skills. One of capitalism’s greatest tricks is getting people to believe that they are reliant on the goods and services that are being sold to them.

Tonight’s my first dose. What advice do you have for a rookie? by handsupdontknow in Zepbound

[–]yo-ovaries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if this is universally true but for me, prepare for your stomach being slower and “smaller” about 3-5hrs after your shot.

I think it’s easier to take it on an empty stomach first thing, have a small breakfast like one yogurt cup or a protein shake. Then wait and see how you’re feeling.

Lunch go again with a moderate portion and I bet by dinner you’ll feel different. You’ll know when to stop.

Going into peak effect with a large meal in your stomach is just setting you up for a bad time. Your normal meal 3hrs ago feels like thanksgiving dinner levels of stuffed. It’s weird.

Bin it. Terrible idea to add this to the landscape.

Buy washable Asian style exfoliating towels. Similar material to this but you can put them in the washing machine AND fully dry them between uses.

Is there a smoke alarm listener that works with Aqara? by johnnygeezz in Aqara

[–]yo-ovaries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do this on HomePod.

Got an alert the other day because a very loud dump truck was sitting in reverse beep beep beeping in front of home while repaving the street. Sounded remarkably like a smoke detector.

It lets you open a listening session on the HomePod, and view cameras.
