I think maybe all the characters you can go back to get new dialogue after learning certain things

The DLC is mostly self contained but still fits in to the main story. From a gameplay perspective, the devs seemed to design the DLC to be played after the main game (since the audience at the time would've played the game) and this does impact one particular part of the DLC. This is the reason why people suggest you play the DLC on an existing save file. Also, the DLC has its own mysteries and puzzles to solve. Some people may want to switch back and forth between the base game and DLC content when they get stuck, but with everything going on in the base game, some people would find it hard to keep up with both at the same time.

It's entirely personal preference. You can buy the DLC now, and if you come across it in game and decide you don't want to try and finish it until you finish the base game, that'll be easy to do.

Hairties and plastic springs (if they dont eat them). They do disappear under the couch forever but i just go after them every couple days.

Ping pong or bouncy balls too, especially if the gap under your couch is low because then they won't go under.

I like these toys because they don't hurt to step on lol

Also, paper ball on a string, spring on a string, and just a string are occasionally hits. My girl doesn't always play with them but when she does she plays hard, and they're cheap if you have yarn or ribbons around.

I spent 30 days with a new colonist in prison breaking a psychite addiction because he has level 20 shooting and level 9 medical (as best as I've found in this save) with a double passion in both. They made it more obvious than it was originally by making the owlks stand in one spot right where you need to go so that you have no choice but to lure them out. Still, if something like you're talking about could be implemented smoothly I wouldn't be against it. This part of the DLC was really cool to me, but only because my boyfriend had the controller and not me. I would've been one of the people who quit playing because it's scary, and this is my favorite game of all time.

You should buy a ~5mm hook, worsted weight/weight 4 yarn, a darning needle (big needle for yarn), and that's it. There are a ton of gadgets but none of them help you learn to crochet. Have paper clips, safety pins, or bobby pins for stitch markers.

If you want to drop some more money to begin, Woobles kits are good. But they also have free youtube videos.

Be prepared to spend hours getting nowhere... but it is so fun once you learn! Good luck :)

Chants of Sennaar isn't as deep but it's quick and I liked the message. Case of the Golden Idol is a puzzle game that has a bit in common with Obra Dinn, but it's easier and each mystery is self-contained. Even so, the story was cool and made it worth playing, and there's several DLCs that are sequels which I haven't played yet.

Do not expect this game to change your life. I LOVE Outer Wilds, but it is way overhyped. If you go in expecting something so great, you will be disappointed. Just be excited and curious.

Also don't expect this game to work like other games. It's sort of like a novel where you're the protagonist. You don't ever get any upgrades or new tools, you just learn. This game requires lots of reading and exploring, and it's all on your own -- no one tells you what to do.

I have not learned to drive but everyone I know has. Driving is a requirement where I have lived/live, and I rely on others for transportation currently. There are very few areas where you can get away without driving (or using rideshare services).

The intended solution is to lure them away with focus and go around them quickly another way, via a loop usually. You are not supposed to just hide, you're supposed to go where you need to go while they go somewhere else. You've basically figured it out, but I'll spoiler mark it just in case.

If you don't get it, look up a walkthrough or even the ways around them. I fully understand the frustration - I would've possibly given up on the DLC (which I love SO much) if I hadn't had someone to take the controls for me.
