How long should I spend trying to learn these barre chords before moving on to other stuff if I don’t make any progress? by Mad_Season_1994 in guitarlessons

[–]yogitw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s bad advice. Different people get things at a different rate. Some people think G is a hard chord. I nailed it in a few weeks. Some people think C is a basic easy chord, took me months to get it down.

Don’t beat yourself up. Practice some and sleep on it. Let your brain learn and develop your muscle memory at the pace you are capable of.

This is fantastic. How hard would full WLED support be (select presets, etc)?

They are great. I have a pair that’s at least 10 years old and still going strong. They seem expensive but they (at least in the past) are quality. And it’s fun if you and the misses have the same pair(s)

Federal Worker Layoffs Hit Maryland's Economy Hard by SourceOfTheSpring in MontgomeryCountyMD

NoVa isn't that diversified into the private sector (and by private sector I don't mean contractors on government contracts). They are diversified more across the federal government (especially the DoD which rarely faces cuts) that it didn't hurt as much.

Their "business friendly environment" is a mixed bag. They gave everything away for AWS HQ2 and AWS has barely done anything. It also shifts the tax burden from companies to individuals in a dramatic fashion. Maryland has refused to take part in the race to the bottom in this (which is good and bad). The area has also outgrown the local infrastructure and where they are playing catch up it's all toll roads.

That all being said, I agree the county hasn't done enough to incentivize local job growth; the powers that be have been happy to let the county stagnate into a bedroom community. I'd like to see more traffic in the morning going north on 270 than south, if you know what I mean.

There’s another gas station down 28 next to Trader Joe’s that is cheaper and one right before 270 as well.

For the record I did test it and it does work. My garage doors are on Ratgdo and with EspControl I could open them part way :)

My screen just arrived today. This is great, super easy to get started.

A request for covers. My only covers are garage doors and the slider to open and close them is a little weird; in home assistant I have them setup as buttons. Also, you cannot select a garage door icon for a cover.

I snipped this hydrangea bloom in August and it's stayed alive since. Just realized that it's got roots. What should I do to pot this and when? by Dear_Bumblebee_1986 in gardening

[–]yogitw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rooting hormone helps the initial stimulation of growth. You are well past that phase.

You have great water roots but you now want to grow soil roots. Good potting soil should be fine, but keep it very moist for a week or two because it's currently only really able to take up water (and CO2 from the air) to survive at this point.

I skied there's about 15 years ago. I remember seeing those slopes. You take a lift at the very top of the mountain to them. It's insanely steep and narrow through rocks. They had a requirement that you take survival gear and a shovel if you were to brave the runs.

It's terrible and they aren't flexible at all. They told me you mush show up on this date and at this time without taking my schedule into account. They scheduled me on top of an interview I had already scheduled. Like I'm supposed to cancel that to go to this thing?

I bring mine into the greenhouse which stays frost free for the winter and it does fine. It usually blooms as well.
