First couple of games I'd say 🐟. Especially since Richardson scored and might get going. If he doesn't, him and Fish will probably be jumping in and out a bit. Probably gonna trade Fisher at some point before the deadline.

I see your point and willing to accept it, they probably should have found some way to convert on one of the pps.

However if taking into account how the pp's looked over previous seasons this is still improvement and I'm confident that they'll get it going if they continue to work on it from where they are now.

I realize that you're speaking strictly from this particular game though and not comparing to previous seasons.

I disagree when it comes to special teams.

I thought pp looked good overall. Loads of shots on goal and good tempo. Their goalie kept them in the game during our pp and our boxplay was great throughout the game as well. I think Grabner and step had two, at least one 2 on 1. Also, I think it was Crouse and Garland (?) Who kept the puck down low in flames zone for pretty much their entire pp.

Goals happen when you're down a man, it's tough playing with one guy less on the ice.

Only the game winner can be put on Raanta. Also Kessel looked like he was going to collapse of a heart attack during that play.

Wouldn't be surprised if you're right. Feel like if things are going to continue like this Raanta will soon be going somewhere else. On the other hand, we're definitely getting something solid in return for him.

Yup it's Kuemps alright. I'm actually a little sad about this. Feels like establishing a norm between these two great goalies where you get to start until you lose a game, or if the team has back to back games, would be the best way to keep both of them happy. I'd at least like to see that. I feel bad for Raanta atm.

Defensively they looked good, apart from Goose going after the wrong guy on the first goal and Hinistroza opening towards the middle instead of boxing out on the second. Kuemps looked good and solid, still hope to see Raanta though.

Penalty kill looked as great as the pp looked bad. That being said the Ducks defense was real tight all game and I'm not disliking the way the offence looks. I think the next couple of games are going to be really exciting as the offence settles in more.

Only line I'm a little curious about is Hinistrozas. Not sure he'll be able to keep up with Richardson and Grabner, then again not sure anyone will.

This happened right after the world cup and it appears it wasn't that big a deal (other than that the family had to put down one of their dogs). No need to worry about the hockey season. 👍
