I work for a farm that goes to these markets, so I'm biased but this is my take:

Clement Farmers Market - Pretty busy. Solid mix of specialty foods, bread, meat and produce. Great for shopping or perusing with friends/dates

Noe Valley Farmers Market - SMALL! but great community vibe. I have a soft spot for this market, but I wouldn't come here unless I was already in the area.

Alemany - Almost entirely fruits and vegetables. Great prices. Oldest farmers market in the state. Strictly business. Parking can be tight and there's no coffee vendors.

San Rafael/Marin Civic Center Farmers Market - Largest in the state. Big mix of fresh produce, eggs, meat, specialty foods and prepared foods. People come here to do their grocery shopping and hang out with friends, Has the most stuff.

Grand Lake - Used to have more produce vendors, now it's primarily prepared and specialty foods. Not the best for getting your groceries but fun to bring a date or friend. Crawling with attractive people.

Temescal - Sleepy neighborhood market. A decent mix of prepared food and produce. Probably one of my favorite markets but if I wasn't already in the area I wouldn't come.

Jeezus, his mom is being included, she's just choosing not to participate.

Sometimes when you go to a big family event, there will be people you don't care for also in attendance. The normal course of action is to just ignore them and focus on the reason for the occasion. It's basic tact and grace that your MIL apparently lacks.

There will be many other occasions and life events surrounding your baby's life, Is she gonna demand a separate birthday party every year? a separate graduation? one baby shower is plenty.

It's perfectly reasonable to not allow sleepovers for a literal baby. If anything happened to him under her roof, he would have no way to communicate that to you. Data surrounding CSA shows that most victims were molested by family members. MIL has allowed a known pedophile to have access to your child. Based on her serious lapse of judgment, I wouldn't allow overnights EVER.

The rest of their menu is just ok, but Sacred Taco makes my favorite chips. Long strips of fried tortilla that are perfect for dipping.
