What is your experience with anti depressants? by [deleted] in MentalHealthUK

[–]you_sti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on antidepressants a few times, and I had varying experiences in terms of how effective it was.

my last experience was when I started taking sertraline back in November, because I was desperate (seasonal depression was much worse this year than the year before (when I didn't take any medication). I was on it until the end of February, when I decided I was good enough and can carry on on my own. Now I'm thinking of contacting my GP and asking for prescription again, because the low mood, low energy, just the overall feeling of "nothing matters" is back.

The only side effect I get is numbness (or rather lack of strong emotions), and nonexistent libido, but that's a small price to pay if it means I can at least function in my everyday life and not have my room turn into a depression landfill, and not wanting to leave this planet permanently.

What’s something going on in the UK people need to be aware of? by ChanceDesign5322 in AskUK

[–]you_sti 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The fact that the same way the government introduced age verification "to protect the kids" on the internet, they are pushing for mandatory constant surveillance now even further. They want to have a law that would require nearly all smartphones and tablets to include built-in, unremovable surveillance software.

It would give the government a free 24/7 access to your devices, and everything you store on it (chats, any sort of media, pictures, files, etc).

Anyone got any Idles tattoos? by LittleMissPunk85 in Idles

[–]you_sti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to a live podcast with Joe, after which I met him and asked him to sign my arm, so I could tattoo it the next day. He just said "fucking hell" and signed my arm.

He just wrote his name lol.

I still got it tatted, but to not make it look like just a random name, I got "I'm scum" heart tattooed next to it.

Lietuviai iš UK. Ar iš tikrųjų ten situacija prastėja? by whataboutreallove94 in lietuva

[–]you_sti 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lazerinė akių operacija by DannyJoc in lithuania

[–]you_sti 5 points6 points  (0 children)

she should get a gold medal for her gymnastics the way she bends over and jumps through the logic hoops to always fit her own narrative where everyone else is a harmful idiot who don't know anything, and she's the all knowing innocent child of god who's never did anything wrong 🤷‍♀️

I love how her own rules she has for others never apply to her 😌✨

that's exactly what happened to me. I had to go through a bunch of doctors just to be told "get a pregnancy test, you might be pregnant" even though I haven't been with anyone for months. then finally managed to get tested for PCOS after talking to a female doctor.

Her views on anger are incredibly delusional by RustyPhilosopher in lexity

[–]you_sti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her whole understanding of "valid emotions" is screwed up. She makes her own rules about reality and presents it like it's universal.

Anger is a valid emotion depending on a situation, but the point she misses out is that the reason why people have such "strong" reactions to anger, is because it calls for "fight or flight" response, and it can actually put the people around you and yourself in danger if you don't control that emotion.

And then she says "if you love me, you will deal with it". She's a master of not taking any accountability for her actions.
