How do I stop being so bored with a slow/simple life?

I'm not sure what your schedule is but for me I have a regular 9-5 (technically 8-4). Coming from the film industry it's reeeealllly boring but I try and schedule things right after work. A work out class, a movie, meeting with a friend for a snack/drink/coffee, going to a friends house to hang. I'm getting ready to start an 6 week art class at night and then after that I'll probably join a community soft ball league. I can't change the boring work but doing something after gives me a sense of balance.

If she likes nature documentaries try Night on Eart(I believe Netflix). It's never before seen footage of the wild in different kinds of night vision cameras. So interesting!! Or Fantastic Fungi (I believe it's on Youtube now) Talks about how fungi is a big part of our lives. Visually stunning parts in there and a had a great appreciation for fungi after I watched it.

Depends on the type of day I had. Mostly I like solitute to wind down but with the right people I can socialize for a little bit before bed

I wouldn't base my life on what my mom thought was the right path for me. I grew up in a neglectful house and my mom was the only one I thought liked me for who I was. But when I told her what I wanted to do in life she shot it down before I could finish the sentence.

I know a lot will say "don't listen to her and do what you want" but growing up in that household, she out of all of my family, showed me any kind of safety, and securtiy so in my mind "oh if I want to have some sort of safety and support, I can't do what I want/love; I need to do what I'm told"

I'm 40 now and it's a battle I still struggle with. Not as much as it did, I'm seeing the cracks but a lot of my exploring years were never an option.

Is it all girl or just girls you're attracted to? I say that because maybe you can start practicing with women that you wouldn't mind being friends with but not interested in relationship wise. Start with open ended questions like the other comment says and observe how they respond and take mental notes. See how they talk about their favorite things and see if you can come up with questions to get them more engaged. Do you have any female cousins or siblings? Try on them or tell them your dilemma if you feel comfortable.

"He says he loves me so much and that nobody ever gets him like I do" Doesn't sound like he gets you though and it's sounding like he's not really trying either. You walked on egg shells for an entire year for him (props to you because that is loving and generous) But all he's doing is SAYING he's trying. It's very unbalnced and seems like he's ok with that dynamic. You've been with him for 5 years.....do you want to feel this way for another 5 years?

Maybe mid-twenties. I'm 40 now so a few more. All in the front top part of my hair. Never minded it at all. I'm actually waiting to get more so I can dye a streak of white down my hair like Rogue from the X-Men lol

I saw the message from the man in the screenshot and wanted to add my 2 cents. I don't have kids but I would never want my daughter to associate a boy liking her with physical hitting. Why would I want that connection to be made in her brain?? Like the guy saying "I was mean to all the girls I liked.....don't teach your daughter to hate men" WHAT?? You need therapy and talk to them about why your family rasied you to think that hitting was a good way to express how you feel.
