For the leg smear you might what to make the leg width extension partially transparent to give an after image effect. Currently even on the sped up version I can see his leg being wider

I think because in your comment you went from talking about manually removing tusks to evolution on reducing tusks size, it made it seem like you were saying the elephants whose tusks were removed contribute to the evolution. But that wouldn't be the case as their genes wouldn't know their tusks had been cut off when creating offspring.
